Ah yes the company line of their finished chickens have come home to roost etc.A few months ago we had the likes ofAirfixx chewing which Chelsea players we'd be cherry picking this summer:contefacepalm2:
Where he belongs
Wolves had 20 shots with a total xG of 0.71. So an average xG of 0.035 per shot. We had 11 shots with a total xG of 1.67. So an average of 0.15 xG. Our chances were 4 times as likely as to go in, yet they were the dangerous team and we were the ones "that didn't look like scoring from open play?" I suggest you rewatch that game.I don't need to watch the Wolves game again to know I was bothered in that match. And I was right to be because we created extremely little & ended up sneaking a 1-0 win due to a well worked set piece. We weren't scoring from open play in that game.
Indeed. It's called FOMO and it's typically a poor reason to make an executive decision.
What’s them signing Igalho got to do with them vetoing a signing too?
Whilst not a brilliant signing he made more sense when they signed him than them trying to sign Arnautovic,
and certainly made more sense than us trying to sign Dan Fucking James.
Kurt Zouma was never even close to as impressive as Fofana was in that first Leicester season. In fact I don't think Zouma's reputation has ever been at that level. Fofana was 18 or 19 and already going for close to 40 million despite only having played in France.
He's been incredibly highly rated within French football for a long time. The only risk here is injury & whether said fee places too high an expectation on him. The player himself has serious quality.
No, we don't. We can change shape without having an attacking midfielder. And given how few times we will need to change our shape, do you think we will spend any serious money on this position? Meaning, what's the point? If you will play this shape half the time, then you go all out for a quality CAM. If you're only playing it 5-10% of the time, rather than get a random player, you get a quality front 3 player and you play Kane or Deki deeper.Feels like it - how long must we wait... Son kulu richie Gill perisic sess doc royal spence.... All wide. DMs in Hoj, Bent, sarr, skipp and bissouma. We've loaned out Glc fat Ndombele and winks whove all failed, but surely we can just get one decent attacking MF for games when we need to change shape.
So we signed Lenglet on loan and Chelsea sign Fofana and Koulibaly and possibly Gvardiol next year. Absolute piss take. Levy has proven this summer that there was no intention in competing in the future because we are not willing to sign the players we need to compete. The £150m was meant to boost our spending and enable us to do deals not just sign a few players. This is a board who did not sign players when Poch needed them most and they are shafting another manager.
I'm really enjoying the Paratici-Conte era.Indeed.
But when you fear you’ve been missing out for nearly two decades, it might not be a sensation. You might actually just be missing out.
Give it a rest, Moan. At least until the window is closed FFS.
