Which was? ...........You left out the validatory element to your argument.

You think Igalo is/was better than Arnautovic?

The latter on his day is/was a bit of a baller; just a massive cunt.
How did I leave it out? United needed a striker on deadline day and rather than doing nothing they brought in Igalho.

How is that comparable to signing Arnautovic randomly in the middle of the window?

I may be in the minority here but IMO, the Chavs' signings this summer have been absolutely diabolical.

I'm waiting for them to sign Neymar to really put the cherry on top.

Sterling aside, IMO they're weaker in every position they've made moves for.

You could be right Fofana may not be quite at van Dijks level, but he is a quality defender who in this market is probably worth 80 million if van Dijk was worth that 4 years ago.

As was already suggested above....

Who'd you prefer?

Romero 45m
Fofana 80m

Point being......."worth" is such a abstract notion this far down the line.

I thought he wasn't available?

Get in! Get in! . What's going on?? :ap:
Hey Conte is happy with our summer transfer business and has said it will take 2-3 windows to completely revamp the team.

Honest John Honest John what's going on?

Desperation move for a ST (see Ronaldo bombshell).... Pretty basic comparison to make.

Anyway, I fear we're in a proper cul-de-sac here.... As per your OG comments about fans veto-ing D.James... Go for it...... Start a hashtag or something.

So we signed Lenglet on loan and Chelsea sign Fofana and Koulibaly and possibly Gvardiol next year. Absolute piss take. Levy has proven this summer that there was no intention in competing in the future because we are not willing to sign the players we need to compete. The £150m was meant to boost our spending and enable us to do deals not just sign a few players. This is a board who did not sign players when Poch needed them most and they are shafting another manager.

How many shit posts can you make in one day? You must be in double figures today surely!

Can all the melts melt away?

Since we turned a corner - pinpointed after that Burnley game, which we only lost because Winks played the 2nd half, we've lost 2 of 18 games. One was an utter fluke away to Ronaldo FC and the other was a tricky match against Brighton. Again fueled by Winks being involved.

2 losses in 18 games and you lot are wetting the fucking bed. And we've added quality players who are first 11 ready.

Really?

I think it’s been good. Fofana and Sideshow Bob are very good players. They already have the best rwb in the league. I think the jury is still out on Sterling; only in terms of whether he will improve them significantly. Kouilibally is good for a couple of years.

They still need an out and out striker but those are some good foundations. And their midfield is stacked.

Still the most revolting cunts in football.

Oooh good one. Your flippant and snotty nose attitude to fans doing anything to even dare question the club a club or a decision the club makes really makes you proper Spurs. Keep it up. 👍

Even Sterling is a flawed player. He will score some goals but he is also very wasteful. He is a really good player but City sold him for a reason. Jesus, in my opinion, was the smarter buy. I honestly don’t know why Chelsea let Woolwich buy him instead when they clearly need a striker.

What's snotty about it.....?

Is that not a fairly easily accessed course of action?

I don't do twitter, but we saw something similar in action when Guttuso was linked as manager last summer. #Gattuso_NO or whatever it was.

Why can't you be the one to provide a similar spark?

(Btw, I respect anyone that's prepared to act rather than idly moan.)

When people say xG is a bad stat it's because people think it can be used in this way. You may be wrong or right to say they were more dangerous but using xG in this way adds nothing to that argument.
Oh, but it does. It tells you that they were not really threatening, even though they hogged the ball. And that we created more, and quality chances, at that. I mean, at the end of the day, that's what it's all about, isn't it? The team with the better chances wins the game.

I think Cucurella is fine as a FB or WB, but definitely not as a CB in a 3. And definitely not for £50M+.

Rudiger was their best CB and is better than any CB they presently have.

Kante is the one they'll have a real difficulty replacing. I think Loftus-Cheek is quality but he's 26 and has yet to show he can stay healthy or keep a starting job.

Not much between Sterling + Broja and Lukaku + Werner IMO.
