Issue is we didn't really. We need one more rwb, and one more creative mid or winger.

We got a lot done. But this squad still has holes in it. And that's not even discussing title challenge levels.

We've done well but let's not pretend this was an exceptional window. This is what's the average ask for a true top 4 side, basically every window. It's our first since 2016 we've shown that ambition..
Conte said himself this summer that we can’t do all the business this window and it would take a couple more. All the targets that we really rate weren’t available. Sometimes you have to be patient.

From Marta to this…

If I had to rank our starting XI in ability it would be something like this:
Kane
Romero
Kulusevski
Perisic
Bentancur
Son (sure he could be a few spots higher but he’s been horrible)

Here’s where it starts getting tricky:
PEH (for reliability but he rarely brings the level of play up from midfield)
Davies
Dier
Lloris
Royal

So we didn’t upgrade any of the bottom 5… we at least brought in cover for Davies and PEH. We have our work cut out for us the next few windows.

We aren’t really that much better at peak form. Unless we see Bissouma/Richarlison take over a starting spot, I doubt we see a serious run in the CL. Cups will depend on if we get a favorable draw.

8/10 potentially edging 9/10 if signings settle as hoped next 2-3months.

Keeping Gil 8.5/10 When perusing options.

2-3 flunk and it drops to 6… but have utter faith, this season, top tier nutrition, top tier coaching, will galvanise us by November. If not for Man City, would say we were dark horses for Title… (West Ham and Chelsea aways already navigated without loss)

This can be true.
But was not case yesterday.

Yesterday ball was moved to CM with ease... and it never travelled past CM position.
West Ham kept backing off, backing off knowing fully well that our CM does not possess any goal threat and very little chance creation as well. And this is how they kept us on xG of 0,72.

Yesterday more creative and dynamic passer in the middle would have done world of difference.
This was probably true in the first half. I think having center backs like I mentioned would have allowed us to link directly with our front men in that half as well. Second half they were all over us and our center backs don’t know how to deal with that.
