Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It's laughable the level of player people think we can get this summer.

United picked off Mbeumo, Cunha and Sesko in a summer with no European football and a truly shit squad.

Money talks in the summer. We have the money to sign almost anyone if the owners really want to.

If City, Liverpool or Woolwich come in then probably the player goes there but we’re still a bigger draw than Villa, Newcastle and that level of club. We just took Gallagher when Villa wanted him and they are in a title race.

We signed Maddison, VdV when we weren't in Europe, Romero when we were in Conference.

Hell, we got bloody Conte when we were a binfire.

As you say, money talks. We won't get the very best but we'll still be competitive for decent players and promising young players if we're willing to pay higher-end salaries.

Genuinely, there’s probably 6 clubs in the world that players will choose over Spurs. And even then, if you go hard enough, you might persuade one.

One can easily place the following clubs above Spurs when it comes to being attractive to players...

Manchester City, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelski, Woolwich
Barcelona, Real M., Atletico M.,
Bayern M.
Juventus, Milan
PSG

Bayern I agree, likewise for PSG.

United I don’t. Maybe with Champions League next season.

Juve and Milan? No chance. The premier league IS the super league. I’ve seen Bournemouth attract players that Milan wanted… Huijsen for example.

Atleti? Nah. Again, Prem over La Liga every day of the week now.

so, 8 teams. Still offers no excuses for attracting top talent if they really want to

United are still a bigger draw than us, we saw that with Mbeumo. Players are basically brands themselves now, and signing for Man United is still massive in terms of what it can do for your following, brand deals etc.

Atletico, I think depends where you’re signing the player from, if they’re Latin players, I reckon they choose them over us.

Ultimately it will mostly come down to what we pay. If we’re willing to go into that bracket between 200-300k per week, you’ll start seeing big, high profile players come to us, that are almost guaranteed to lift us into top 4 contention.

If we still want to mostly stick around in that 100k range, with the odd 150k+ player, we’ll continue to get a mix of mid-level players, hopeful punts and dross.
