Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Its gonna be hard to do deals in the summer transfer window because we dont have summer in Britain.

Assuming we're still in the division, the approach this summer window will define what we are as a club for the next few years.

If the board don't put their money where their mouth is and make some serious, statement signings, paying proper wages, then we know it's all a load of waffle and they're just Levy in sheep's clothing.

There aren't any excuses this time.

There were none at this time.

This was new boards first window. Now that this has been concluded we do exactly what to expect already.

I can tell you the biggest news of the window right now - VDV leaving for Real/Bayern/PSG/Liverpool.
And from his own point of view this is the only reasonable thing to do. This club is not serious and has got no clue about how to run things. So what is the point of wasting time here?

We will be million miles from European football and honestly, I could see us not getting to CL in next 3-5 years regardless of the managers - squad has been mismanaged for so long and there is no sing of improvement. Should buckle up and get mentally prepared to lose all the more valuable players to serious clubs.

There will be excuses. We just don't know what they are yet.
I could hazard a guess.

World cup year.
New manager wants to assess the squad
No European football to attract players.
No European football so difficult to keep a big squad happy.
Players returning from injury like new signings

We'll buy a couple of alright players circa £40m/£50m, a couple of youngsters and our usual loan when we're desperate come the end of the window.

The braying seals will give it 9 out of 10 and the new manager will have to perform miracles or he'll start getting pelters 5 games in.

Lack of europe will be excuse #1, why even with money its hard to attract players...

Then we'll circle back around to rebuilding with potential types instead of measured quality

In the last 4 transfer windows we have signed 5 senior players over 20 years of age. Solanke, Danso, Kudus, Simons and Gallagher.

5 players for a team that has suffered a black death style injury crisis for 2 years solid and who finished 17th and had CL football.

So anyone expecting a massive splurge on 7 or 8 proper players i'd prepare yourselves for dissapointment.
