Scott is more of a Bergvall type tbh
Gotta say I really like Bergvall, but his injuries are starting to worry me. If it was a choice between he & Scott, I know who I'm backing. But ideally you keep both and shift the shite instead.
But I’d def trade him for Bentancur in our squad.
Amen.
Biss needs to be moved on for a deep lying playmaker #6 type. Locatelli mould.
As above.
Palinha can stay but as a CB.
Nah we gotta do better at CB. I like Pally and I respect him cause he works hard, but I'd rather give the mins to Kev, Jun'ai...Vusko.
Gray and Bergvall are only going to get better now the hard yards have been mostly done on the early Prem experience,
Hopefully, brother. Hopefully.
Sarr needs to be a very careful decision. I could see Poch really liking him.
Poch or not, I think he needs to go. I like the kid but he's been here years and it just ain't happening. Don't even play for Senegal NT no more. Injury record a concern too. I'd loan him out to a Brentford or Brighton type with a 25-30 mil option.

I think we need to be more in a position to be scavenging from Chelsea and City's academies. "overspend" there and you get yourself most of those players, plus potentially a Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers etc
Man, we've done that a fair bit at academy level over the past couple of years and have since, shifted them all on as not good enough, from both City and the Chavs.
We don't even need to overspend because no club will let their starlets go without a massive fight, like we fought to fend off interest in Moore.

Below that level of player, the cream of the crop, academy football is a massive gamble and it's not worth overspending on a kid who may fail.

Be nice if we started buying players that fight club, our style of play we want, regardless of nationality.

And if we had a single philosophy through out the club from youth to senior , we probably wouldn't have to buy any English players again, if we developed the kids wisely.

The owners need to accept its a £250m rebuild job this summer.

My big fear is that we get plenty back fit and they use the injuries as a way to justify our current position in the table.

All but 5-6 should be available for transfer if a reasonable offer comes in.

I'd say double that, for 5 -6 positions. Outgoing I want about 7 gone immediately for attitude, another 6 for ability/injury proneness, and then the churn of youngsters etc on top of that... gonna be a busy period for whoever we get to replace the assholes we have here already...
I mean fucking recalling Yang from Pompey to Coventry... someone needs sacking for that alone.

Yeah if we can get around 50-100 for outgoings, I think 250m is about what we need to spend.

Something like:

7-10m for Bentancur
10-20m for Rich
20-30m for Sarr
20-25 for Dragusin
15-20m for Vicario

Then if decent offers come in we could also look to sell the likes of Tel, Udogie (too injury prone) and some of the kids on loan we don't think will make it.

Given we're also gonna lose Davies, Bissouma, Kolo Muani and potentially Palhinha, that's a LOT of squad turnover - and probably unrealistic - but I think we should be able to handle it with ~5 incomings and no Europe.

Has potential to be our busiest summer in a long time if we get a decent DoF in place who wants to rework the squad.

I'd have signed Wan- Bissaka as a winger over Kudus, never mind. Show pony and the reason he has so many assists is because Frank's God awful tactics of everything goes through him. What a waste of money.
He’s a real lower half PL player - talented but idiotic and no football brain. Top sides wouldn’t touch him

Adama Traore 2

I think Vicario goes this summer as well

13 outgoings yeah? :D

Making the assumption we are still in the PL next season, but not in Europe, and that Maddison and Kulusevski make full recoveries, I think we need a squad of 22 senior players (2 for each position with some flexibility e.g. Gray, Simons, Odobert, Maddison, Kulusevski etc. can play multiple positions), supplemented by academy players

GK: New GK, Kinsky
RB: Spence, Porro
RCB: Romero, Danso
LCB: VdB, Vuskovic
LB: Udogie, Souza*
DCM: new DCM, Gray
#8: Sarr, Bergvall,
#10: Simon, Maddison
RWF: Kulusevski, Kudus
LWF: New LWF, Odobert
ST: New CF, Solanke

*If Souza is deemed as not ready then loan him out and buy a new LB.

This enables us to sell / release / do not renew:
  1. Vicario
  2. Dragusin
  3. Davies
  4. Bissouma
  5. Bentancur
  6. Palhinha
  7. Tel
  8. Richarlison
  9. Muani
And bring in 4 new players:
  1. GK
  2. DCM
  3. LWF
  4. ST
Those 4 players need to be peak years (25-20), first team ready, and all players worth £200-300k per week.
