Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The relegation fight had got me a bit invested again after a long time of apathy but starting to think whats the point with these arseholes in charge. The thought of Vinai, Lange and Kehl. Palinha staying, signings like Robertson and Darlow and over correcting with a bunch of has been 'leaders' makes the whole thing just seem pointless. I know these are just rumours but its not stretching the imagination to know this is the sort of shit we pull.

There isnt going to be a brave new world where these incompetents all pay the price, or an exciting young team of Vuskovic, Moore, Gray and Bergvall. They're more likely to sell the latter 2 to keep Bentancur and Gallagher than build around them. If we stay up we might see a modest uptick because we have a better manager but he'll end up walking. We're basically 2006 to 2025 Everton or Newcastle under Ashley.

It's all just rumours. Just ignore it I would and see what happens.

The reality is that if we get relegated, heads will have to roll and there are only two public-facing people who will have to take that responsibility. At least one of them will have to go but the fans will demand both.

If we stay up, I see more chance of one of them surviving but, again, fan pressure might force both.

Nothing will happen officially until our fate is sealed though.

Spurs doing more theoretical 'if we can stay up' deals than normal transfers we would do if we finished top 6. Typical clownshow, where the fuck was this proactive work in January you dipshits

This is it. Even I was starting to feel a bit better about everything. Palinha news really dented any confidence I have with us turning things around, as well as Lange and Kehl. If that's the type of signing we're making , we may not go down this year, but obviously scrimping and buying poor players isn't going to change, so how is anything going to be better long-term?

We're just set up for mediocrity.

They both are very experienced though and our squad lacks leadership, Liverpool fans love Robertson as well so I don’t mind his signings. Palhinha I am less bothered about, don’t think he has shown any of his ‘qualities’ this season.
Robertson was a good player. Do we really need another overpaid crock who's never going to play, to be a rotation player with our player that doesn't play? He's a bad defender now, lost all his pace, all he can do is whip in a ball. My Liverpool fans are sad to see him go for emotional reasons, not footballing reasons. Robinson from Fulham is the most obvious choice.

Don't get me started on Palinha. Just shows our ambition of afyer what we've seen of him that we're going to spend money tyng him down. He's already deadweight. Obviously even if we do stay up, nothing is going to change. Going for the cheap options as opposed to the right option, where have I seen this before?

Bizarrely given how utterly shite we’ve been, I don’t actually think we need a huge amount of numbers in. I think it’s more about bringing in 3 or 4 quality players in key positions:
- a goalkeeper who can pass and inspires confidence amongst the defence - Diogo Costa
- a ball playing midfielder - Locatelli (if the club sees sense and shifts Gallagher quickly then also Fernandes)
- wide attacker with a goal threat- Bowen if they go down or Mitoma or both ideally
- Harry Kane (I know it’s not gonna happen but imagine)
