apparently he is better as an LW, but not worth the kind of money they'd be asking.

Savinho is the most 'available' LW transfer we can get, only reason we are going for him is because he fills a position of need we've been 'trying' to fill for ages and we have been working on this deal for a while as he's seemingly keen to join, I don't think we're actually taking into account his form over the past 12 months, I'm assuming that the club are bringing him in in the hope that the coach can get something out of him.
My choice would be Ndiaye or Summerville personally, maybe the club and De Zerbi thinks that he has a higher ceiling than them, who knows.

Kroupi is the obvious one. If we don’t do it now we will be sitting here in 2 seasons asking how could we have missed out? He’s Tel with an end product, or put another way, Greenwood without the baggage.

Brennan Johnson on the left with less outputHis style is being a true winger that runs down the touchline. The fact that he's left footed and prefers to play on the left says that he's not comfortable cutting inside.
Why has Summerville scored goals? He plays in his favoured position and gets a lot of space on the counter attack because West Ham sat back a lot and tried to launch quick transitions.
Savinho might look better playing that way than getting the odd start on the right, the odd start on the left, playing Pep’s rigid tippy tappy round the box stuff.
The context is everything. The numbers say that Savinho is one of the best ball carriers under 23 in Europe. I look at the way we’ve been playing under RDZ even in the last five games and how we can move the ball up the pitch, if we had two supreme dribblers like Savinho and Kudus up there we would be very dangerous.

Diouf?
Caicedo and who though?
I'd certainly prefer him over Robertson.Diouf?
I think he’s definitely not shit. I’d definitely take him at Spurs
Summerville might be available later on in the summer, but we know Savinho wants to 77 we've been working on that deal for ages.
Also the LW market is pretty dead anyway, not many standouts in that position unless you happen to play for PSG, Real or Bayern - everyone is a much of a muchness really.
Hes poor 7 games out of 10 and then has a very good one occasionallyDiouf?

If we are getting Savinho, we are not going to spend 70m on him - I would think fee is far far lesser than our bid from last time. Anywhere between 40-50m is plausible.
Anywhere in that range for a 22 year old Brazilian proven in La Liga and had 2 goals, 12 assist across 2500 minutes of PL --> is decent fee. One that we could mostly recoup even if he replicates what he did at City.
Yeah but Kehl hasn't even got the job yet and we've been linked with half these players for 5+ months. DoFs are often pretty opinionated and don't all fully agree on targets and footballing visions.
Woulda thought a new DoF might want to be in place and sign-off on all the deals, put his own stamp on the club, etc.
Admittedly we haven't actually signed anyone yet so that could still happen, though.
No one knew who Kroupi was before this season.
You've let yourself down here Sean.
That's still not enough reason (in my mind) to go for a player who looks bang average.
If the evidence contradicted my thoughts then maybe it would be more a matter of my bias, but it's not. I just don't see anything that makes Savinho stand out - dribbling is fair, not particularly quick, not got a great shot on him, and is pretty much one-footed.
Is Savinho so much better than Mikey-Moore, who I would probably send out on loan for another season, for perspective.
Colwill, Acheampong, Estevao, Quenda, Palmer, Kavuma-McQueen, Mheuka, Dyer, not realistic ones though.
