Yeah I stopped checking this thread as well at some point. It was really depressing reading a bunch of people discussing the best strategy to build a squad for the Championship
His dream is to play with his brother who also plays at Hamburg whose ban has just ended.
If this is the carrot required to get him to sign, I don't mind it
I must say I am ambivalent about signing Robertson. I think we can do better.
If he was so good he would not be leaving Liverpool and arguably we should want a player who is likely to start for us.

It’s not fucking ice hockey. We aren’t “trading” anything, giving him a contract extension/pay rise and letting him go back out on loan to play 90 mins every week. Makes sense if De Zerbi isn’t planning to have him as first choice for 26/27, along with far fewer matches next season.

And to counter act their player signing limit they are much more flexible regarding bringing in coaches. Which makes sense in a way I guess. If you can't bring in players from outside to influence the team you bring in coaches.
Yeah, It would be too limiting. I mean, there are quite a few top Basque coaches around at the moment, but I doubt that was always the case. Plus, out of those (unless Xabi Alonso is secretly a Basque nationalist) the only one they could realistically get is Iraola, and they would have to pay top euro to get him. Most likely, they would end up with Lopetegui
