I think we should avoid bringing home loanees. With only one game a week they won't get to play many minutes.
Sadly I'm inclined to agree. Most of them simply won't get enough game-time for it to be worth it imo. The 2 exceptions are Vuskovic and maybe Moore. The former has the potential be our first choice RCB next season if we sell Romero.

Given our slew of injuries, keeping Moore around, at least until Jan, as a rotation/backup option CAM and LW might work, though. We can't afford to replace our entire front line when Odobert and Xavi are still on the books and Moore has come a long way in the past year. Would need to see how he does in pre-season, though.

Think Lankshear might be an outside shout if he smashes it in pre-season too but more likely another loan for him.

see we are linked to a lot of players, next season we could have as few as 40 matches, so when do all these players get match time, let alone getting match time into our academy lads that are kept at the club (not sent out on loan)
watched some youtubers last few days saying we could have 5 senior CH's next season when will they get match time, 5 Ch's if you have euro matches works ok, but without those extra matches i can't see how we keep them all happy

It's very unlikely we are going to luck into getting a 25 goal a season striker, so we need 10-12 goals from each of the front 3. We are miles off.
Well Gyokeres was the only Arse player to get over 10 (scored 14) so you can be OK by spreading the goals around. Their second top scorer only got 7 which is kind of mental.

Sadly, we've not got the squad to manage that either, though.

40m plus add ons taking the total to 50m would be a good decent deal for savinho. A true winger with his skillset in the hands of RDZ has monumental upside.

No doubt his stats have not been great on the eye but football is not always that simple. Id love diomande, barcola, yildiz but its not happening this summer BUT I do think savinho has a ceiling as high as those players.

Can’t understand the point of Savinho, haven’t we had our fill of young/talented wingers who are all potential but need years of development to reach the top level?

I guess he’s left footed which we don’t really have in the side but for me he’s just another one like Tel and Odobert who might be good in 3 years. Need someone reliable in now.
Hes way ahead of players like tel and odobert.

Looks like Robertson is done. This is a curious one. No doubt one of the best LBs over the last half a dozen seasons in the PL but no sure how much, if any, tread is left on the tyres. It feels like a pension top up and we won't see the Robertson we saw week in week out for the bin dippers. We'll see a player who's best days are long gone earning 200k a week and blocking the progress of Souza which now looks an absolute Lange special.

I have never been sold on Baleba being that guy. Very good player, but as the article says, we're packed with that profile, and the cost is just insane. Smit or Wharton should be the profile we're after. Eve if it's not them, it's the style we need.
Seen Baleba a couple of times in the flesh last season and wasn’t impressed. Really rate Van Hecke though

40 matches and the usual 10-12 players injured

I can see the benefits though. Prem proven, experienced and a winner. If we lose Vicario, Romero, Paulinha and possibly Ben D this summer we’re going to need some older heads

Honestly I dont think its totally crazy or about weight or shifting plates. But there could be a tiny tiny issue regards the give. Say theres slightly more push back on impact with the surface could repetitive running on it landing on it put increases strain on muscles and tendons. Its amazing tiny issues can become bigger cumulative ones. I think its worth investigating if only because Real Madrid have had an injury spike and have the same set up.
Monaco as well.

And agreed. It is better to investigate it and be able to properly rule it out, than not doing it and possibly ignoring a key factor.

10 each from a front 3 of Kroupi, Solanke and Kudus? Plus 6 from Maddison. That would get us well over half of what you typically need for a good season as long as the defence is decent.

- us signing Kroupi who is very wanted by lots of big clubs.

- Solanke staying fit and scoring double figures

- Kudus scoring 10 which he’s never done in this league.

- Maddison staying fit.

Oh boy

Granted it depends on De Zerbi getting more of a tune out of Kudus (or Deki) and Solanke getting back to something closer to his Bournemouth form.
It seems less unlikely than us going out and paying for a 25 goal a season striker though. Even if there are such players out there.
Haaland isn’t coming, and if H comes back it is at least a couple of seasons from now to see out his career with a farewell tour.
