How robust is he?
We seem to have had a plethora of Argentinian sick notes in recent years.
When ENIC said “two 17th place finishes in a row is not acceptable”, it seems they meant we didn’t finish low enough.
He is a good player and better than what I think most of the comments so far have been. The issue is we got rid of Son who was admittedly on the decline and have not replaced him with an elite wing forward. Summerville is a good standard winger but we need one elite goalscoring wide forward and he is not that.
Still have the world cup as shop window.
If romero is banished I hope senesi and vuskovic plug the gap. Lothar matthaus and german football have raved about vuskovic. If that's the case he needs to start for us next season with vdv.
I'd be happy if we signed both him and summerville. Could probably get both for about 70 mil combined which isn't too much more than savinho would cost.
Plus he has that high pitched scouser whine like a straight cut gearbox that makes dogs howl!
He's the third best forward in a relegated team. We have to stop with this kind of nonsense.
Just reminds me of Odobert. Has a trick. Has scored the odd goal but also runs into trouble

Summerville and Marcus fucking Rashford. We better prepare for another relegation scrap. 2 more fucking wasters for 70m, instead of one good LW for the same price.
That really doesn't mean anything by the way especially since there was like 20 points separating 18th to 6th this season.
He's a good winger, a good Prem LW and there's not much of them about these days, I'd have him over Savinho any day.
I don't know what kind of names people are expecting, it's the same for the the striker thing...literally no massively obvious upgrade in that position either.

Savinho and Robertson were wanted by Enic and if this is who we are after nothing will change what so ever.
Get vibe savinho is one of lange data driven signings. Must be a reason we are hellbent on getting him.
Not convinced Thiago is much better than what we have. If that’s the calibre of striker available I would rather get two high quality wingers with output and assume one of Solanke, Richi or even Lankshear will get enough goals with proper service

The problem is there arent really any top top lwf available. Gordon has just gone to barca for 70mil and he was probably the most coveted lw out there. Realistically, rashford and summerville are about as good as we can get at the moment. Theyre both better than what weve got (by quite some distance) and would improve the depth of our squad. if youre saying savinho is a good lwf for 70 mil then i really disagree. would much rather the two you dont like than him for the same money.
The game is about scoring goals. Its blatantly obvious we need a top striker, even two. We need signings who put opponents on back foot thinking about us. Board have been negligent not replacing Son and Kane.
