De Zerbi quotes on Milner.

"James' quality is clear but his energy, passion, and attitude is more important. He's younger than his real age... The age is on paper. On the pitch if you are 18 or 16 or 40, nothing changes."

"He has won everything in football, but if you watch him in training sessions, it's incredible. He is helping us to reach higher levels in our mentality and our quality of play."

"His energy is great and he can play for years. James' quality is clear but his energy, passion and attitude is more important."

"I would like him to stay because it's important, and off the pitch he's an important player."

Jackon isn't a popular choice but he's got a lot of untapped potential, feel like De Zerbi could turn him into something special, just lack discipline.

I mean none of these are top strikers really, Marmoush I guess is the closest to it but I'm not convinced he's going to consistently score in the Prem.

Woltemade hasn't done anything yet in the Prem and Mateta is on his way down.
All 3 would be a massive improvement on the shit we currently have. Rashford and Summerville on the other hand aren't even better than Tel.

Hmm the kind of shit football we served up last season you're not seeing a massive difference with any of those players if they played for us. The issue we had as a team was creating chances, I don't see how those players change things if they aren't having chances created for them.

Also Don't be silly, Rashford and Summerville are much better than Tel, that's actually laughable. 😆

Summerville links are so fucking underwhelming.

He's midtable level. If this is what we are aspiring to, it's more of the same shit from Lange.

What's even more concerning is these are targets that predates De Zerbi. So we are basically going after Lange's targets, not De Zerbi's.

We escaped relegation by a whisker, and the club are targeting mediocre players from a relegated team. We aren't going to challenge if this is the level of player we sign in the attacking positions. No chance. It's bullshit.

Why would you not just invest in Lankshearl at that point though? Jackson is very rough and would require a huge investment

The only way Lankshear is going to improve is on loan and he completely smashes it, no point on him being 3rd choice especially next season and I haven't seen anything of him that says that he'll make it at the top level, yet.

RE; Jackson...we're gonna be facing this with any striker we go for, we're gonna have to pay over the odds for an incomplete player.

Are they even real at this point?
Lots of lazy links to players we were associated with previously or from RDZ’s old club.
Other than the free agents, I reckon 99% of the rest is speculation and clickbait.

I fucking hope not, but there has been a fair bit of noise both in January and this week.

Honestly, if that is the level of signings we are making this summer in attacking positions, then all this shit about a proper rebuild and ambitions is just nonsense.

He's barely any better than Odobert and Tel, who frankly are nowhere near good enough.

His goals and end product is shit. It's the same type of signing we were making under Levy for 25 years, nowhere near a needle mover and nowhere near good enough.

I just think in 2019 we were in the top pecking order attracting players. Since then its been a downward spiral and eventually settling for 2nd best signings. In that process we've accumulated a high net spend mostly on mediocre players. Add to the high turnover of managers we've accumulated a cocktail of different profile players and players hanging on we dont need. The club need to have a strategy of picking the right profile of players in each position. De zerbi seems a project manager like poch. Imo best appointment since poch.
