Apparently we want Rashford.
Someone that works for the club, I believe it.
I said this before it was reported.

Someone pretty high up at the club has mouthed off about him to a few people. Geezer talks a lot but to be honest his position at the club leads me to believe he's not talking shit.

De Zerbi wants him for the left sided spot, that's who he wants as the number one target.

I'm not really sure a career in Turkey is a point proven, let alone Saudi.
Not in the context of trying to get players who can play Premier league football.
I also have no idea what the hit rate is like for teams like Palace and Brighton etc. How many do they punt on that never make it?

Not happening. Don't do it to yourself.
Proven quality player. Great attitude. Definitely worth a 90 million bid. Forest need to balance the books

He was quality for Barca though, reason why they are reluctant to sign him is purely financial.

I personally don't think he'd enjoy it as much in England anyway, he was clearly having fun out in Spain and looked refreshed, I can see him going into his old habits and the media doung their usual hatchet job on him.

It's Barcelona, with very good players, and where they are often on the front foot.

It's also at a stated 'dream club'.

I agree with your summary but would go nowhere near him.

No signings will please everyone.

We wont sign barcola, yildaz, diomande so our options are limited.

I think it's uber important that we get the next set of signings right, be that permanent or loan signings. It won't be easy.

Getting the right profile of player is probably harder than anything else.

We are all going to differ on the players we need to sign but I think posters should cite why they want to see certain players at the club, and why they disagree with some suggestions.

On Leao I don't see a player who is going to come into the PL, and into our set-up and provide the added difference.

It's just an opinion.

You say we should cite why we want players at the club and why we disagree with some suggestions. Then you mention that you don’t want Leao because he would not provide the added difference, being just your opinion. You haven’t exactly done what you want us to do there have you? 😂😂😂

THE most important thing for us in this window, is bringing in players that will guarantee goals and assists to our front line.

We've not replaced the goals lost from Kane or Son (or Dele for that matter) and it's a huge reason why we're struggling to win games. I think in recent years we've been too focused on bringing in players that are good to watch as opposed to effective in front of goal.

United finished 15th last season and the only noticeable changes they made to their squad were bringing in Mbuemo, Cunha and Sesko - which has effectively made them a Champions League side.

..and that is why shelling out £50m+ for Savinho (2 goals in 50+ Prem appearances) would be huge mistake.

All I mean is that they didn't end up at Dag&Red or on a Skipp/Winks trajectory. Sitting on the bench in your formative years is a career staller, but both of them have arguably had better careers than the players Poch was giving mins to regularly (for example - Winks, Onomah).
Hitchen was given the freedom to select players like that (as a 'French Expert' or somesuch) after people used to moan about the club not having such autonomy, and the mismanagement of it was really at managerial level (Poch being at odds with not having full control).
I think people don't watch enough football, or are purposely ignorant, of how few of other clubs signings are actually that good. Especially the bigger ticket ones. But in reality, a lot of our so judged "bad signings" are ones that never really got a chance - but it isn't really just them; since the Poch era the club has just been awful at giving players a chance and in two badly hit injury seasons it's really staggering how we've resorted to either playing crap senior players or flogging them in to injuries where other teams like Liverpool, Man Utd, Woolwich etc have given academy players some faith. It's a minor miracle that Grey and Bergvall were able to benefit from the injuries or else they'd probably have had fleeting minutes

Who are youre suggestions then.

Its not as easy as just plucking the 3 top scorers of clubs that are not at big clubs and buying them is it? We tried that one with solanke.
