A Marmoush/Rashford type player provides us with more balance in attack. They can cover LW and ST and can also score goals. A player who's more of a runner and can stretch play as a complement to wingers who prefer to take more touches and dribble.
The obvious problem is wages, so getting one of them on loan would be a better idea and seeing what happens from there.

I doubt we would be getting them on loan. I hope the shock of nearly getting relegated actually makes the club think they need to do what is required. If Marmoush is £70m then ENIC need to put their hand in their pocket or they can put their hand in their pocket for £300m if we get relegated or they can sell up. Marmoush is the cheapest option.

Player tendencies are definitely are real thing but after Frank left Gray absolutely showed a completely different range of passing than we saw most of the season.
De Zerbi spoke about Gray needing to zone in and focus on a specific position and role. I don’t think it’s controversial to say that he’s never had a run of games in any specific position because his availability and versatility meant he was needed to cover a million injuries all the time.
Hackney has been a more settled player but really they need to see where De Zerbi sees both Gray and Bergvall before signing another young midfielder IMO.
Go spend some real money on Locatelli or Anderson or whoever but the Palinha squad place needs to go on an established, experienced, elite ball playing 6

Hackney is a very good player, excellent passer and controls games. Only question mark would be around athleticism but as a budget Adam Wharton i'd be happy with him signing. You dont always need glamour names, Rodgers, Watkins, Eze, Olise, Bowen all from the championship in recent years.
