Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I honestly think the smart thing to do is to wait for the Champions League clubs to do their business and then see what's left.

We can't compete with United, City, Woolwich and Liverpool so let's see what they do first.
Yeah, lets just sit back and wait for the crumbs.

Eight goals and seven assists in thirty two matches.

Had the asking fee and committed salary until 2028 been less I think Barca would have taken him.

Not suggesting we should, but he came off the bench in a lot of those thirty two appearances.

A goals and assist every three games is pretty good.
It is, but that was for a team he'd dreamed of playing for, he had the incentive to perform.

He didn't for his boyhood club, nor for Villa when he went there.

Cock on the block, I'd say we'd be more likely to get the Rashford of the latter two, rather than the former.

Any transfer is a gamble to an extent but after last summer and the hype and expectation around Wirtz, Simons, Zubemendi, Gyrokes, Kolo Muani, Reijnders, Woltemade and a ton of others bit wary of buying from the continent. Just think the gap is getting bigger by the season. Bournemouth and Brighton are great at it but its a proper lottery. I know you could say the prem is no better for us with Richarlison, Solanke, Johnson etc but they were lower mid table level players and thats exactly what we got.

Well obviously but once upon a time Chelsea and Man City were nothing Clubs with no pulling power - until their owners got serious. Chelsea never have problems competing for top level transfer targets regardless of being in Europe or not. Because they are now regarded as being "serious" - even with the utter clown show they've been for some years.

And I think Wharton is at a "rung" similar to MGW last season where we can compete if we're serious. The problem with the MGW transfer last season was that Marinakis called our bluff and we folded - because we weren't serious. Until that changes nothing will.
I'm sorry to rain on this parade but no way is Wharton coming here...he will be free to pick and choose...maybe once we've rebuilt and look much better there might possibly be a chance...

Small time mentality.
They don't come much bigger than Spurs...Especially if we started realising our potential.
Our fans need to start raising their fucking standards.
Nothing to do with size of club. We will lose out to the teams that are more likely to win the PL or CL. We have won neither and do not look like winning either any time soon. It is a bit chicken & egg situation, we will not win either without the top players but the top players will not come here because they do not see us winning either. We were 17th!. We need to get back in Europe, then CL & then maybe we can persuade the top players to come. Kane did not leave because we were not a big club but because he did not believe we would win anything.

Unless you don't give a flying fuck what media and so-called ITK's spit out, and wait to see someone holding our shirt on the official site.

We are linked to about 100-200 players every summer according to those cunts. And some of our fans believe every story.

That's what I mean by it's going to be hard work, wading through all the terrible links and ridiculous histrionics on here for every one of them.
