Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Wilson is older but he would have kept us up by about 9 points last season. He has real end product. Would immediately be our most dangerous attacker with Kudus crocked. (And I don’t even particularly rate him that highly)
We need cover at RW with the injuries we’ve got. Wilson’s an absolute no-brainer on a free transfer. People will be snobby about him cause he’s not some fancy big name, but he’s a massive upgrade on basically all our wide options. 10 goals and 7 assists last season, Odobert & Tel would get nowhere near that.

Wilson, Senesi & Robertson on free’s allow us to spend big on a Central Midfielder, Left Winger and Striker which are the areas we need to go big on.

2023/24 : 8 goals 1 assist across all comps in 1053 minutes : goal or assist every 117 minutes. 9 starts overall

2024 / 25 (PL, CL,EFL cup) : 1050 minutes, 12 goals. Goals every 87.5 minutes
7 of this goals came in games where he scored late winners including Bayern, City, Leipzig, Westham ,Everton etc... And he only started 7 of these games. Most of his goals were just spectacular finishes

All this was him as 20 yr old.

He is not a OK striker. Even if its some odd Saudi club, they arent going to spend 64m & 300k salary on ok strikers

He took a bad decision now reaping the consequence of missing out on WC after he chose money. Still has his career ahead. If he choses to give it up and come back, I dont mind at all. I would rather have him in our squad than Kean
100% he needs a strong manager and committed pros like Maddison around to help focus him on winning silver its what you career is about. Id take him in a heart beat Keane on the other hand couldn't get dogshit Italy out of the bog. Steer well clear of that generation of Italian players Bastoni included.

Incredibly underwhelming list.

The scum going for Rodgers and we are going for Harry Wilson. Fucking pathetic.

Seems like nothing has changed despite our dice with relegation.

It's beyond obvious Lange has to go. Can't believe another summer and he's doing the scouting and recruitment
When the scum were finishing 10th under Arteta they weren’t trying to sign the best players in the world were they though? They realised that they had fallen and those players weren’t interested and they made smart signings like Gabriel, Ben White, Ramsdale, etc, etc to get them competitive. That’s where we are now. We need to be creative and smart. It starts with hiring an imaginative squad builder at DOF.

Great point..

Wilson would be a potential third free transfer

Classic ENIC really. Value over necessity.
It wouldn't be classic ENIC though. We’ve tended to ignore the Bosman market because they want higher wages.

Senesi and Wilson are two really good signings for me too. Both some of the outstanding performers in their position last season. Wilson for free would be a great 2nd RW behind Kudus. Different type of player, but scores goals and has that lovely left foot to whip balls in.

Very funny how we are now linked with Harry Wilson. I remember we drew 1-1 at home to fulham last year during our injury crisis and fans were going all in abusing Ange. I remember stating that Fulham had better subs on the bench than us that day and used Harry Wilson as a prime example. I was laughed off the thread with multiple posters calling me an idiot for suggesting Harry Wilson would get into our team. This came at a time when we were starting Johnson, Werner and a 17 year old Mikey Moore on the wings.

Does anyone remember this? Funny how things change.

If the choice is having Harry Wilson on the bench to cover RW instead of putting Bergvall/Souza there like we have, then of course - Harry is better by far

But -
10 goals and 7 assists is a real headline too (32 starts, 36 matches overall)

24/25 - 6 goals and 1 assist. 12 starts (25 matches overall)
23/24 - 4 goals 6 assist. 16 starts (35 matches)
22/23 - 2 G, 3 A. 13 starts (29 matches)
21/22 (Championship) - 10 G, 19 A (40 starts)

And he'll be 30 by the end of the season (March)

Its all really quite average isnt it? Did well in the Championship (after Liverpool binned him off iirc) and was immdeiately a substitute for the next 3 seasons

Then he had one hot year

Just feels like, for me, he's probably more likely to return to the average than maintain that one hot streak

So while he is preferable to not having a RW/backup - I think I like the idea of trying to get someone better

Ya perhaps should’ve phrased it in terms of City’s apparent eagerness to sell and the corresponding lack of competition. Even Tel we had to fend off United on the final day :harrylol:
The FIRST Tel deal was great because it was try-before-you-buy for a very talented 19 year old who we were eager to give opportunities Bayern couldn't.

Then we gave him those opportunities, he looked lost and off the pace, and then we paid significant money for him anyway!

It's similar with Savinho. He looked like the next great Brazilian winger at 19, has spent the next two years looking well short of that, and we're biting City's hand off to sell at a significant profit.

We should be less attracted to the starlet a player once was and more attracted to what they are today.
