How can you talk about how ready he is watching our dogshit team. You need to question every single other players ability before you question Luka.

He needs to be trusted now, he did everything possible he could do.
I can easily question how ready he is because he hasn't played a single minute in the English game yet.

Yes he's been brilliant in Germany but whether he's ready to step up as a first teamer in the PL is a decision for him and the club, not some folk on the internet.
And if he isn't going to be a first team player, he's better of going somewhere in loan where he will be.

And watching our "dog shit team" last season has no bearing on Vuskovic or anything else because we now have RDZ, not Frank and actually appear prepared to back him.
So re-read what I've been saying because I don't think you'll find a single post where I've questioned Vusko's ability.

just for the record, Luka got beat pretty badly for pace in the final minute of Croatia’s game as they conceded a late goal to Lukaku a few days ago. It was a glaring error and his speed is definitely a question.

That doesn’t mean he isn’t still a great prospect. He definitely is. But there will be an athletic transition period into PL football for him.

He didn't, he misjudged the flight of the ball and made a hash of the offside trap, he did look slow getting back as well.

I think I need to see more of him in the WC, if we are sending him off on loan it probably means he still needs polishing.

What we need to do is by a young 'promising' player who no one has heard of so we don't get into a bidding war. We should only spend about 20 - 26 million on them. Luckily they are young and unproven so we can keep them on a low salary. By giving them prem experience they should hold their value at least. If they are out of their depth we should encourage them to block their socials so as not to nosedive into existential terror and self doubt. We should then build a whole team like that regardless of whether we end up with 5 players in the same position.

To Dare is to Do comrades!

And just to bait the hype-boys, I'd possibly even suggest that Ashley Phillips is more PL ready having had a full season in the championship because that's better preparation for the pace and power than Germany.

And if course Luk has more potential than Ash but that's my point, it's not about potential but that the EPL is a massive step up from pretty much every other league, so nobody can categorically say that Vuskovic is ready yet.

It all depends on what the club and the player think about how ready he is.
He's still so young, still has a lot to learn and the EPL is a different beast to the Bundesliga.

I get that you've nailed your colours to his mast but being stubborn in your conviction doesn't necessarily mean that it's correct.
Its not correct and its not good for Vuskovic in the long run. This what we are doing is how you develop Centerbacks..they mature later. The bloke is really good but he isn't even the best Centerback prospect I have seen if he was quick as well as aireally dominant then great he needs to get his positioning in various arenas sorted. Van De Ven got thrown in too quickly and this season it really showed. If we loan Vuskovic Id start to suspect someone at the club is actually listening to people that know what they are talking about for once.

I think those occur with 6 months or less left on a player's contract, like with Eriksen.
As I was informed the other day. The Prem has a special rule that only allows formal pre-agreements for a player that is going to move to another PL club to be within the last month of the contract or something like that.
To prevent players potentially throwing games against their next employer.

You can still have informal deals in place like we have seemingly had with Robertson.

Romero and Dragusin are off I suspect. Vuskovic back on loan probably to a prem team this time and that leaves VH, VDV, Danso and Sensei.

If the club are ruthless I think they will sell Danso next summer and bring Vuskovic in. That would be 4 elite CB’s.
Micky has also as of yet committed to a new deal. And has lowkey flirted with a move by doing interviews in the media.

So bringing in a proper rotation option for his position is only sound. If he decides that he wants to move we have his replacement in house already (at least in the short term), and if he has any sort of falling out with RDZ he can be benched with less of a obvious drop off.

Man, the Jonathan David dislike here is tough. I think he would be awesome under De Zerbi, and he's definitely talented. It's easy to look at the numbers with Juve and say he is terrible, but it just hasn't worked out there overall. Sometimes a good player in a bad fit has those episodes, and it doesn't automatically mean he's terrible.
