Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Do we know which top clubs even want Romero? Atletico were the only club who really pushed for him and apart from Alvarez ( who's never joining us), I don't really see who we take from them.

Torres would be brilliant if barca were interested. It could potentially open the door to Barcola or Ramos if PSG are interested.
It is not a swap obviously. But we could in theory work out a deal with Atleti where they buy Romero and that nullifies some if not all of the fee for Gallagher.

Ah well then I did misunderstood apparently.

But in the technical side of things, I believe that salaries and transfer fees are actually treated differently I think?
Meaning that higher salaries are preferred to higher transfer fees. At least for the clubs like us where the ratio between salary-costs and revenue is as low as it is.

In terms of total ownership cost - true, often the difference is smaller than the media outlets headlines let you do believe.
I mean some idiots still believe that Haaland cost 60 mil for ManCity. For him all the other aspects (massive signing fee, massive agent fee, massive salaries) obviously have made him 3x as expensive as noted :) .
If only you’d told Levy that higher wages are better !!!

Man, the Jonathan David dislike here is tough. I think he would be awesome under De Zerbi, and he's definitely talented. It's easy to look at the numbers with Juve and say he is terrible, but it just hasn't worked out there overall. Sometimes a good player in a bad fit has those episodes, and it doesn't automatically mean he's terrible.
While Vic is basically not much more than a shot-stopper and I think Udogie has little end product, the idea of swapping them both for an underperforming forward, David, is uniquely insane.

I’m told that if Spurs are unable to secure their desired fee for Cristian Romero this summer, the club would be very open to exploring what would effectively be a ‘part-exchange’ arrangement, provided the interested club can offer a player who fits Tottenham’s recruitment criteria.Such a structure could, in theory, widen the pool of potential suitors for Romero, with Spurs prepared to consider player-plus-cash proposals rather than insisting on a straight cash sale. Spurs mean business this window!

Romero plus £10m for Ndombele ?

Obviously won’t happen but if it did, it would be the worst deal we’ve ever made. The maths just doesn’t work at all. Udogie alone is worth more than him. Yet they’d somehow want Vicario as well.

These types of rumours are so fucking stupid. Especially when it’s about a mediocre player like Jonathan David.

Udogie has regressed and is made of glass. We will be lucky to get 20 mill for him. Spurs fans can't stand Vicario so how can we expect a decent fee for him as well. Where is the deal to sell him to Inter?

Im sorry bro I know hes a national hero but we've been used to Harry Fucking Kane. And the sainted Son Heung Min...David is on another planet to this level.

And just to bait the hype-boys, I'd possibly even suggest that Ashley Phillips is more PL ready having had a full season in the championship because that's better preparation for the pace and power than Germany.

And if course Luk has more potential than Ash but that's my point, it's not about potential but that the EPL is a massive step up from pretty much every other league, so nobody can categorically say that Vuskovic is ready yet.

I do wonder if Roberto is thinking of 3 atb :

LB- Van de Ven...............................................................RB Porro or Spence
..........................CB Senesi, CB Vuskovic, CB Van Heck
Back up CB's ...................Danso and Phillips

This way :
- Vuskovic can be taught how to be a CB in PL with a expert on either side.
- Van de Ven can be LB as he is for Netherlands
- Senesi and Van Heck can help midfield with their progressive passing
- Phillips also gets PL experience

Assume Romero and Dragusin sold, possibly Udogie too
