Gibbs-White chosen as Woolwich's alternative to Rogers'

Woolwich have shortlisted Morgan Gibbs-White as a potential alternative for Morgan Rogers, according to The Sun.

The Gunners are keen on Rogers, who started in the first half of England's 1-0 victory over New Zealand and is competing with Jude Bellingham to be the starting No 10 for Thomas Tuchel at the World Cup off the back of an excellent season for Aston Villa.

However, with Paris Saint-Germain also circling the 23-year-old, Gibbs-White has been named as another option for the Premier League champions and also has admirers at the Emirates.

Ollie Watkins was the only Englishman to score more Premier League goals than Gibbs-White's 15 last season as he helped steer Nottingham Forest to safety.

Gibbs-White signed a new three-year contract at the City Ground last summer when he seemed set to make a move to Woolwich's north London rivals Tottenham.

Would be very, very Spursy

N'Guessan keep on making the rounds - but it's most likely just recycling rumours about him. He was also linked to Spurs last season...

van Hecke situation gives me so mixed feelings.

I mean - yea, 50 mil for a player that has 1 year left on his contract is surely a steep price to ask.
BUT at the same time when RDZ wants him and know his level... AND we are sure that he fits exactly the profile we need... then I lean towards the option to just bite the bullet, pay the money and get it over the line.

We will be getting more than the 50 for Romero and Dragusin combined I would assume.

And if he performs on top level, than shipping out 50 mil to have a 25 yo Duch power-duo for next 6 seasons might not be anything too absurd. Demand also plays a big role in the final transfer sum. Meaning if he has 1 year left but there is someone who is willing to pay more, then in the end the price goes up.

But anyway - I see very strong arguments to both sides here.
Just hope that we base our final decision on the fact how good of a fit do we find him being.

I don't care about realistic, pal. We finished 17th...twice. Go big. Period.

We're still Tottenham Hotspur, still a big friggin name, 9th richest club in the world, best stadium in the PL, brilliant fanbase, based in London, pay good wages, got De Zerbi in the dugout...

Marcus Rashford is worth 100 Tel/Odobert/Kudus.

Nico Williams had a tough season but still an elite winger. Defo not worth 150 mil now after the season he's had, so there's a deal to be had.

Oyarzabal is an excellent player, so underrated. Might be tempted to test himself in the PL before he retires.

Yildiz - yes, like Tel & Odobert he's a youngun. Difference is, his talent is undeniable, he's already producing shiny stats and his ceiling is so much higher than them two French nuggets.

Even Marmoush has 10 Savinhos in him.
Nico Williams release clause is €100m, but it's the €350k a week that pretty much impossible

I think we really need to see him up closely, there's too many people who are acting as if they watch him week in week out, whilst the scouting reports are good things like this concern me, as I said I would love a Prem loan next season.

There's way too much discourse surrounding him anyway, people are acting as if he's the CB version of Messi, whilst he's still good and has huge potential he's not flawless at all, he got caught out the other day for Croatia against Belgium when he messed up a fairly simple high line and played Lukaku onside.

I don't see why another year away hurts though, I think people are just being impatient.
Those same people will probably be the first ones calling him shite after his first mistake.
The same ones piling onto Tel, Odobert, Bergvall and Gray.
They've built Vusko up so much in their own minds that they're just setting him up to fail their lofty expectations and when he does, they'll be slating him, RDZ and the board for fucking it up.
It's always the same.

He's good and has great potential but he's 19 and has a lot to learn, the EPL is a hard teacher.
It appears as though he wants to play regularly and learn more, so can we really take the risk of making him the first choice RCB?
Not for me, not yet and certainly not after the past two seasons.

Wouldn't touch rashford, give him a lengthy contract and his form drops right off, no thanks
Get him on loan for a season then. He did the business at Villa and Barca. Besides, United under Ten Hag then Amorim can't have been much fun...like us under Ange and Frank. You hire clowns, it's somewhat understandable your big players get frustrated and end up fucking about. Also think Rashford was made the scapegoat.

Nico Williams we can't afford his wage denands. Next
You're saying you're a big club and wanna win? Act like it.

Yildiz would be interesting, but he's not really a winger but a acm
He spends a lot of time out on the left. For Juventus. And for Turkey.

Marmoush yeah I'd definitely take
You go to City, that's the one you get. But then again we went to West Ham and got Kudus instead of Bowen.

van Hecke is to De Zerbi what Bastoni was to Conte. Both defenders the manager really wants, that fit his system to a tee and would improve the backline massively , but rather than pay the price and give the manager what he wants, he’ll get the bargain bin alternative. Be interesting to see who this season’s Lenglet is.

It’s just fucking Groundhog Day with these owners, it’ll never change, they promise new managers the earth to get them to come in, then fuck them over once the manager’s held up their end of the bargain.

Should we have a sweepie on what month De Zerbi will crack and call out the board In the media?

To Dare is too dear.

I like kudus. Dangerous player. We need back up for him in case he gets injured. Im hoping kulusevski can be the cover or vice versa. We missed kulusevski big time last season.
