I'd bet my arse we got Richarlison on fairly average wages. That's the deal breaker, not the fee.
And of course the payment plan. Everton probably happy to take a 5 year structured deal. Other clubs maybe not so happy.

And just how do you know that?
I'd be pretty happy with that. Reduced the age of the squad, largely sorted the homegrown issue and a fairly flexible, energetic squad. If we could bin the bulk of Lloris, Perisic, Rodon, Tanganga, Reggie, Lo Celso and Ndombele so much the better.so what are peoples thoughts if we finish the window with our main buys/sales being from this point:
In
Muani
Gallacgher
Tosin
Tapsoba
Out
Hojbjerg
Kane
Sanchez
I haven't seen anyone defend any of that, except the pay rise.
True. Although the desire to play proper football is declining these days. £££ is becoming more important to many.I’m sure he would much prefer to play week In week out than sit on the psg bench for a full season.
Yeah he is a higher level than turkey!Would be surprised by that move.
Was expecting him to get offers from Italy and Spain. Agree it’s a drop off.
Liam or Noel?
Basic maths. Four less home games (c.12M), no CL money (50M and no CL broadcasting (30M). Slow clap
Putin doesn't own Spartak Moscow, and I suspect he has bigger worries than trying to buy Davinson Sanchez
They aren't my ITK guys...It's been rumored for a while now. Both Spurs writers and your "ITK" guys like POK and Bannister have both mentioned it a few times.
Has Lengelt signed for us?
EDIT: also what excuse - you made out like we have been shopping bargain basement for years and it has never worked out for us.
I gave multiple examples of inexpensive players that we have purchased that have all been fan favourites and played to a level WELL beyond their price tag.
I also gave some examples of expensive signings that did not work out.
SO your notion about the rinse and repeat of us only ever going for failed cheaper buys is nonsense. In fact, us going for more reasonably priced players in defence has served us better than not over the last 10 years.
You can simply admit you're not being very nuanced with your assessment instead of trying to move the goalposts.
TO be more nuanced myself about Lenglet..... as far as I am seeing we arent currently bidding for or looking to bring him in.
Despite that, I don't feel like he is as bad as is being made out and could likely do much better for us in Ange's system than Contes.
Did you watch him much for Barca?
Here are some comparison stats for Tapsoba vs Lenglet (Barca) vs Lenglet (Spurs) - the stats are per 90 mins

I do as well but it is slughtly odd that VDV price is touted at around that figure (probably a little less) yet we can't seem to get that one done.
