If Hojbjerg was to leave it'd leave us with :

Bissouma, Sarr, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Bentancur, Skipp, Maddison and Devine for 6 positions.

Bentancur is out until the end of the year with no guarantees he'll be back to his best. And considering Bissouma and Sarr will both be away in January we could be looking at a midfield of :

Lo Celso, Ndombele, Skipp, Maddison, Bentancur and Devine to choose from in the new year.... Considering one of, if not both Ndombele and Lo Celso may also move on. We most definitely need another body in there because that's pretty light.
We're not in Europe, though. Ange can play the same team week in week out. No need for rotation, just having to deal with the odd injury and of course Biss and Sarr being away for AFCON.

It wont last. You can throw an endless pot of gold at trying to make a Saudi league attractive to foreign broadcasters, and their likely long play is getting Saudi teams into some sort of super league with the euro sides, but this would take decades of pumping tens of billions a year and for what kind of return on investment? they will alays be fighting a losing battle trying to bring the very elite players there and keeping them because the culture is radically different to anywhere in the traditional football sphere and the unbearably hot summers. I don't think money can solve any of the logistical issues of preventing it from being a money pit that struggles to gain any traction.
This is my take too, but you just never know how things will pan out. I'm really hoping you are right.

I think with Gallagher it is more about fit. He was class at Palace playing in a high role but average at Chelsea playing deep, he is an attacking 8 not a 6. If Ange wants him to fit a pattern of play I am fine with that.

A good look at the differences of a ball playing defender in a possession team versus a Conte team. Pretty remarkable how Conte’s system makes players worse.
Conte got a team with Dier, Davies, Hoijberg, Skipp, Royal, Sessegnon and others into the champions league and was sacked with us having been in the top 3 or 4 all season.

Comments like this are just dumb.

We shouldn’t in good faith accept funds from Russia

I dunno why he would want to go there. European ban, cut off from the West, almost certainly Neanderthals will be racist towards him..

He’s good enough to still play for a decent team in Europe. Maybe the salary will be a bit lower but the lifestyle would be much better.
