Season 9 Ok GIF by The Office
Oh sorry, can he not stay at Spurs then if the prospect of living in Russia is so dreadful?

Season 9 Ok GIF by The Office

I never said 'forced'. I used the phrase 'send him to russia' as an expression. Take it how you want, but if it's a serious consideration for him, then all my points apply, as do yours. They are not all his own choices, there are factors outside his control, including our own behaviour towards him. Bottom line, if he goes there, it's going to be because he's not wanted here.

Bit dramatic

If we're getting £35m for Hojbjerg then I imagine that goes straight in for Gallagher, although I would rather it be spent elsewhere.

I want to see Sarr given more minutes.

I might be wrong but Sarr is a player more to control a game in the centre, Gallagher at his best is a player who is constantly looking to break into the box from midfield. Very different players. If Hojbjerg and 1 of Lo Celso or Ndombele is off I can see why we would go for it.

I have a couple of questions to throw out in general. I'm not stating fact, this is just me asking.

Firstly, what is the problem , if we are in a transitional period this season coming, in using the academy lads that are "proven prospects" like Devine or getting in the same type of player ie Scott or Phillips for next to nothing (in the great scheme of things). We would then have the possibility of nurturing a young , dare I say it, hungry backbone of the squad to be ready to come out all guns blazing in the following season and challenge for everything? I know it puts us back a season, but , in the long term, would it not (assuming it works) set us up for years to come ?
Secondly regarding the outgoings from the club this window, I have been looking at the training videos that have been on line and it would appear (to me anyway) that when AP greets the players , some just get a handshake or fist bump, but others (mainly the ones that we seam to be sure of , on this forum anyway, keeping) get a hug/pat on back thing as well. Could this be a tell that lets us know his feelings towards the squad as is?
Am I just reading too much into this? Just interested in anyones views , not open for an argument or anything.

I think that Ange will want his attacking mids to contribute with goals. Can Sarr so that? Veiga and Gallagher can and have proven they can but so far it doesn't look like Sarr has that goal threat in him.
Can anyone tell me what they’ve seen from Sarr that makes him this great player? I’ve never seen him for his previous club or really noticed him with Senegal. He might turn out to be a cracking player for us but he’s done nothing in a Tottenham shirt to say he’s going to play a big part for us.

Some of the members on here must watch football, domestic and foreign for 24 hours a day and spend a fortune on subscriptions to do so. As soon as a player’s name is mentioned , a player who nobody had probably never heard of until 10 minutes ago, they become experts and talk about his lack of heading ability, his lack of goal threat and so on and so on. YouTube experts I imagine, sum a player up by watching a 3 minute clip of his highlights or look at a page of statistics about him .
That’s exactly what happens.

We aren't "sending" him anywhere, if he goes it's because he's agreed to the move, if he doesn't want to go to Russia then he can just reject and then we either accept the next best offer or hold out and hope someone else matches this bid at some point.

He ain't being trafficked...
He ain't being trafficked, but at the same time we shouldn't be listening to any offers from Russia, period. It's not like he's begging us to move there and we're reneging. From the reporting it sounds like Spartak approached us and we're actually listening. Pretty unacceptable, if you ask me.
