Depends on price. Both doing a good job at Milan. Again not the tallest of defenders. Does it matter? I don’t know. Would be a massive upgrade on our defence but I wouldn’t pay over £30m for any of them, which probably wouldn’t be enough.

He's just your typical 20yo ish footballer who's got good feet but shit for brains. He makes Serge Aurier sound like a Nobel prize laureate.

Let him go to Utd, Liverpool, Newcastle. Even if he can change as he gets older & wiser, Spurs aren't the club for him. A Pep or a Klopp may be able to set him straight, but put him in our player committee-led dressing room and it's a guaranteed Ndombele v2.0

When you say you’ve known him, do you mean you actually know him.

Schalke wanted to sign him but couldn't afford the 25m buy clause.

I actually watched his first few games and you could see straight away he had above average ability. I mentioned him on here first time I watched him. He was really stupid to go to Barca when he did, it effectively set his career back, but you could hardly blame a kid for jumping at the chance like that, they don't come round often.

I've never read anything about him being difficult off pitch. His twitter's not full of silly bollocks. And I've seen a couple of interviews he's given where he comes across fine.

here's a couple. You can set the subtitles to English if necessary.






First one talks about his time at Nice and how grateful he is for the chance there and second one he talks about how grateful he was to Casanova/Toulouse for giving him his first big chance.

I've always had a soft spot for him. he's not perfect but I'd have him here over most of our CB's.

I don’t know the kid really. Bad move to Barcelona. But I think you’re probably going a bit over the top. He just got selected for the french national team squad. He’s been linked with a move to PSG because Campos supposedly likes him. By all accounts he’s playing well.

Humble in his socials at the moment …

With both of them I often feel there's a lot of technique and flair but they're not effective enough to actually be able to make the step up.

Both also seem very slow, casual and lacking intensity, and tactical sense both in attack and defence.

Our next winger needs to be skillful but also quite fast and a good finisher.

Olise is the better chance creator but Eze purrs and floats thru a game. He’s not perfect and gives the ball away too easily at times but we need players like that. We are way too workmanlike. Skipp and PEH is a terrible combo especially with scratchy players like Oerisic and Son
 
Jaynola Jaynola why the disagree for Thuram? He's put up 16G 6A this season from 30 games, tall, 25yo so time to develop, versatile across the front 3 and on a free. What have you seen of him that puts you off?

Or is this another attitude-related issue á la le con Todibo?

Selected for the national team? Well, in the past you've had the likes of Evra, Ribery, Valbuena, Benzema...chaps I'd hardly call upstanding citizens. DD is also still picking that Hernandez brother who's a domestic abuser.

Move to PSG? Yeah, cause there's a club known for rating substance over style, attitude over skills, brains over feet. Neymar, Verratti, Paredes, the homophobic bros Gueye & Diallo, Kimpembe, Icardi...sure, he'd fit right in.

Re social media - players have people doing that for them these days so as to avoid saying stupid shit that'd hurt their career...and sponsorship deals.

It's gonna take more than that to change my mind about him and to stop thinking he'd be a dreadful signing

I don't want a guy who thought it was a wise idea to spit at another player's face...during a pandemic to top it off.

Yeah yeah yeah we all make silly mistakes & learn from them, second chances and all that. Sure. But do I trust the lad now? Nope. Do I think he's got the mental minerals to raise our game? Nope.

We can - and must - do better.
