Yes. It might not be Tapsoba if he's too expensive, but the fact that they're looking at someone so expensive after getting close to closing the VDV deal tells me they're serious about bringing in another CB.
It also means we won't need to spend in January and just a top up where required next summer.
Thought there was a change a few years back that if they were expensive enough they don't need the national team games to qualify
