« The goals don’t move » - what does that mean? It’s clearly easier to score goals in some leagues than others.I said before we Levy won’t pay £30 million for Orban if we are actually in for him. If we are then this will drag on until the very end of the window till we get it down to about £20 million with add one but the likelihood is it will fall thorough.
I’ve read that he’s only in the Belgian league but the goals don’t move. He’s a goalscorer and he scores all different types of goals. He also has a great touch and very quick. Those types of players will find it easier stepping up levels because those are the main attributes a striker needs to succeed. I’d love to see an exiting player like him come in but I honestly can’t see it happening. I hope I’m wrong.
Yes the goals don’t move. Not talking about the shit level you play at. He is playing professional football so the step up is easier when he has every attribute you want in a forward. I’m not saying he’d come in and play every week and score 30 goals. The physical side is one of the things that will take time to adjust to because going up the levels defenders are more aggressive,no how to use their bodies better and their positioning is better. I would like him but I’m more in the Vlahovic type of striker where he has that physical prowess but has all those other attributes to his game. Orban could be a hit or miss but he’s exciting. I don’t believe he will be our player come the end of the window though.« The goals don’t move » - what does that mean? It’s clearly easier to score goals in some leagues than others.
I scored a hat trick at the weekend. Do those goals move?
There are also concerns that he avoids any sort of physical challenge. How will that hold up in the premier league?
Of his goals last season 7 were pens.
Well to be fair Erling Haaland spent half.a season banging in goals for RB Salzburg in a worse league then the Belgian.I think 30 for Orban is too high for someone with his experience and level. Just one season in a top flight league? Janssen had a similarly impressive output given he was in a harder league.
I’d say 20 + 15 in add ons. Maybe 5 of those for scoring 10 goals, another 5 if he hits 30 goals, and 5 if we qualify for the CL in the next 2 seasons. That would be fair and recognise the risk. If he can’t score 10 goals for us in his career then he’s not even worth 20m!
If you can do it for one season in the Belgian league then you’re worth 30m? Come on mate, no one serious believes that. There’s no way you think he has « every attribute you want in a forward » at a top class level. You’ve probably never seen him play.Yes the goals don’t move. If he turns out like Patson Daka would you see it as money well spent?Well to be fair Erling Haaland spent half.a season banging in goals for RB Salzburg in a worse league then the Belgian.
Now with that being said I am not saying this kid will be Erling Haaland but what I am saying is this kid is very very talented, he passes the eye test every single day and most importantly his numbers are insanely good.
The way the current market is 30M for a player who can potentially be worth 100M+ is a risk I would be willing to take if I am Spurs.
He is only 21, If he don't work our then at 25 you could still sell him for 30M+ with relative ease. Just look at what a dud of a player like Solanke went for when he left Liverpool.
In todays market? yes. Especially for a EPL club like Spurs who are very well equipped financially. For Sporting for example its an enormous risk but for you guys not so much. 30M is pennies in todays market. If he turns out like Patson Daka would you see it as money well spent?
