Footballers > sprinters.

Once teams learn to sit deep and counter against us (and they will); we'll need guile and intelligence in those areas not pace.

Grealish, Mahrez, Bernardo, Haaland.... With the exception of Foden; none of City's front line last season are particularly quick.
Agree just saying he’s a runner not an out and out sprinter. Whether he’s a quick ‘footballer’ is TBC

is this post genuine?

You asking what movement is better shows you haven't actually seen him play much. Johnson regularly gets himself into excellent goalscoring positions. His movement is so good that he is trusted to play up top as a lone striker and also just behind the striker.

Gil on the other hand rarely gets himself into decent positions to do damage. He looks like little boy lost positionally.

Also comparing johnson to Gil physically is absolutely laughable.

The only thing Gil is superior on is technical ability but i mean Lo Celso is also meant to be technically good but doesn't stop him going missing in games 9 times out of 10.
Agree with all those but Gill isn’t a forward. Would do a far better job in the middle third than Johnson

Possibly, I wouldn’t though. I never blamed Levy for Ndombele, he was the literal definition of a ‘’one season wonder’’, one of the best midfielders in Europe for one season for both Lyon and France, then he got a contract with us and decided to retire.

Levy backed his manager in that case but maybe we didn’t scout his behaviours well enough. I won’t blame Levy or the board for good intentions and I hope the Ndombele situation doesn’t cloud our judgement in the future.

Brennan Johnson to me just seems like a scouting job and a player Ange might like, I don’t see us going £50m otherwise.

I know you don't roll like that, mate.... Plenty of others do though.

Johnson a weird one, obvious over pay for HG player but we do need one otherwise we will struggle next window if back in Europe.

Has the credentials we are looking for, still very young but does have a hint of underwhelming.

I will say though, a lot of people thought VDV wasn't ready for the prem, Udogie can't play in a 4, Porro has no chance in the new formation etc.

I am just going to trust the scouting departments on this one, as its not exactly the cheap option, and our buys have been good generally for the last 18 months.

Liverpool did have close to that a few seasons back but their squad has fallen away.

Agreed, and that's what I mean that not all clubs have 2 quality players per position.

ManU has same problem with a few players they are trying to offload otherwise they need to be in the 25 man squad even though manager doesn't want them eg Maguire, McTominay.

With our squad numbers, we've bought well to have at least two quality u21's (Udogie and Sarr) who don't count for the 25 man squad limit to try to get best squad possible.

Will our beloved bald cunt get Ange the much needed forward and CB? I highly doubt it. He will look at these results and that’s his excuse to do nothing. Just remember, Veliz isn’t ready so effectively we haven’t replaced Harry. Brilliant Ange having to work with 2 hands tied behind his back because this tight fisted bastard refuses to go that extra mile to push for success.
Not Levy's fault, it's all Jose's as well as Conte's...didn't you read LeParisien LeParisien 's brilliant post?...

1 CB, 1 RWF, 1 ST and we are pretty much decent for each position with 2 good or reasonable players per position. We ain’t that far off

How so? Bissouma, Madders, Sarr, Skipp, GLC, Bentancur. That's 6 for 3 positions and we're not even in Europe this season. How many more do we need?

Naive IMO. Gone from nowhere to somewhere in two months, they ain’t gonna stop until they hit the CL. I’m ok with the PL being a poor relation, should hopefully see the bastard owners at City, Chelsea and NewC fuck off or dial back which leaves us at the top with Goons, Liv, and Utd rather these oil pumped investment vessels
Yeah, but what fun will it be winning the PL title with half of the other challengers not being in it? I'd like us to win it with all the best teams participating and then they can fuck off.
