Yeah I think the issue with Davies in Europe was that he came up through Swansea, whereas Johnson has been at Forest his whole career.

Johnson is HG for any competition, PL or UEFA, due to being club trained by Forest. As mentioned, nationality doesn’t play a factor at all in these distinctions.

Brennan Johnsons dad liked a post on Instagram about his sons link to us.
Johnson has always played in EFL for clubs affiliated to The FA, despite being of Welsh nationality.
Davies trained with Swansea a club affiliated to The FA of Wales - but luckily a rule change meant its now clubs affiliated to either The FA or The FA of Wales.
So both now meet the HG rule (at least for PL, slightly unsure about UEFA)
Hence my point/question
