Meanwhile one of the players Poch sold for a song, Milos Veljkovic, played CB for Werder Bremen when Kane made his debut for Bayern. World Class ? No but good enough to have played 200 times for Werder Bremen and a regular for Serbia National Team ........ so probably could have been an HG squad player for us.

But with Poch attitude to developing youth a few good ones left early so they could develop elsewhere, Madueke is a classic example - Spurs u16 captain - who could have stayed rather than being a 35m or 40m acquisition for Chelsea

Are people starting to see that Poch wasn't perfect after all?

I would love us to produce more actual quality and not have to buy in. And clearly that's what Levy wants too.


But I'm just not blinded by the colour of their shirts. Most kids from most academies are destined for the scrap heap/lower leagues.

I can't say I've ever seen any of our youths come into the first team that I thought was average and prove me wrong.

Does feel a little like groundhog day TBH. Everyone called Johnson the signing that would go to the wire, to enable a late announcement. Others might leave on loan after midnight but don't see much else happeneing TBH. Our defence is still an issue, very frustrating

Surely you can have all 25 HG, it's a minimum number not a maximum.

But the point is we are highly likely to have the maximum 17 non HG still at the club tomorrow.
Currently we have 19. Obviously if 3 more leave we can keep an extra HG.
