It's why I rated the window at 4/10. I might raise it to 5 if we get rid of Ndombele, and pay off Dier and Lloris, but of couse we can't get rid of Sanchez now otherwise we're relying on Phillips who is lacking experience (fuck knows how he's going to get that without a loan period?).

Apart from the front 3 we're pretty good with our first 11, but any injuries to our CBs, we're fucked,
Son seems fisnihed unless he can revive his old form, as you say Richalrison flounders, and Kukusevski is too slow and predictable, so we 'may' have solved his limitations with Johnson, whoopie shit.

Maybe we'll feel better after tomorrow.

But we are distinctly slipping away from the sharp end of the table in terms of the quality we can rely upon.

And here's the really shitty thing. With the depth and quality required to really compete, and the strictures of FFP not to mention the unwillingness of ENIC to invest, if Real Madrid swoops in and wants to pay 80M for Destiny Udogie next summer, we really ought to take it, such are our squad-building needs if we're trying to compete at the very top.

We’re just going to hope for a very lucky season with injuries. Not impossible - see Woolwich most of last season or peak Klopp Liverpool - but incredibly risky.

A long term injury to any of Son, Romero, VDV, Udogie, Maddison or Bissouma completely fucks us imo. No genuine replacements for these players.

Probably best we’re out of the league cup.

It’s not hard to understand and even the bigger happy clappers on the forum generally admit our depth is shit. This new attempt from you to be king happy clapper is fascinating.

We needed to sign more than one CB. Fucking obviously. We probably should have done more to replace the greatest striker on earth. Fucking obviously. And Sessegnon/Lo Celso are hideous back-ups to Maddison and Udogie. Fucking obviously.

Pointing out our shit depth isn’t ‘4d chess’, it is basic logic. We have far too many positions with a huge drop off.
