Maddison is an odd one. I always think of him as a bit physically frail, carrying injuries in his knee/hip, often missing long stretches of gametime. But then I look at his history and see that he's played 44, 36, 32, 31 and 35 games in his last five full seasons. Good player, I'd like there to be somebody on the market in his mould but a shade younger and more physical.. nothing really jumps out.
Just don’t see the point in buying Maddison now. Yeah he’s a good player but we’re a year late.
Prefer to go the younger upside player route again.
Too many holes in this squad to be dropping £50 mill on a 26 year old
