You jest but i can see it. If you think about it we pay the £40m for Porro, £30m for Kulusevski, probably £25m on Pickford/Raya and maybe £35m on someone like Hincapie. Forget the double counting i reckon that will be us done in transfer fees. The squad will be plumped up with a couple of freebies like Zaha and De Vrij.
If only we had invested more in developing youth players and blooded some of them at top flight level over the last few years.

Does anyone know where the American is getting his pennies at Chelsea? Surely it has to borrowed capital. If Levy took out a mortgage for the stadium and is paying it back why can't he re-mortgage and get us a nice half a billion to spend too.

This is a spend money to make money market unfortunately.

We're looking at a good ten +/- players moving on.

This without, possibly, our DoF. Hmmmm

he's out of contract so ignore the salary and signing bonus and he is literally "free".

There’s only going to be one story for this window - Kane.

It will be remorseless.

From an outside perspective you'll also have Bellingham, Rice and whatever other 'flavour of the months' bubble up between now and then to dilute some of the focus on us.

From a fan point of view they'd do just as well to spend the next 5 months reconciling both 'stay' or 'leave' scenarios and just tune out from all the noise (esp. all the twitter shite).......... Most won't be capable of that though and many will workthemselves into even more of a frenzy than necessary. No outcome will result in universal contentment over the matter.... Even if he re-signs some will be unhappy at best.

Levy didn't take out a mortgage, tottenham did. ENIC don't want to finance the club in any significant way
