Any chance of us getting Rasmus Hojlund? Him or Ferguson would be great long term options if Kane doesn't want to sign a new contract in the summer.

Tbh I’d be up for trying a system without a true #9.

Richy can play the nominal #9 but means you can press. If Kane went, spend the money on a Mane type to play left side and another player to play off the right when Kulu needs rotating.

City and Liverpool played without true #9’s.

Ferguson looks like a beast though, I agree

I’ll make a prediction now that out of Dier, Tanganga, Sanchez & Davies, at least 2 of those will still be with us next season along with the likes of Ndombele, Lo Celso & Reguilon as Levy will not be prepared to take a big hit on their transfer fees. His thinking will be that the new manager can have a look at them & see whether they can get anything out of them rather than letting them go & taking a big loss on what we paid for them.

Depends on what you consider a “big hit”. If you mean giving them away for free and subsidizing wages, that’s probably the only avenue, as nobody outside England has any money. Certainly not the second / third tier sides that would sign such players.

I’m sure Levy would rather get a few million for Tanguy and GLC than continue to pay a proportion of their wages. But there’s just no market for these guys. Otherwise I’m sure they’d be gone already.

As for the new manager, the hope would be that any manager of any substance already knows what these players can offer. Not much. Doubt there’s any manager out there that doesn’t know that Sanchez can’t really defend and that Tanguy is a lazy ponce.

Another prediction. People will start to rationalize that they can actually work out here.

I’m already talking myself into Reggy after Davies beat out Perisic and Sess can’t stay healthy
