Brandt is more CAM than 10, right? I’m saying someone like that because I haven’t seen him play that much
Yeah if you'd seen him play the past 3 or 4 years, you wouldn't want him anywhere near our team.

But that's the thing, ain't it...people naming players they'd sign when they've not even seen them that much, if at all. I find it a bit weird,to say the least

An AM more, he is very versatile like Foden and can play wide and central but ideally I’d say if you play a 433 you want him playing in the Foden/Mount role of that like a false winger.

Below would be examples of how he could fit next season.

433

GK
Porro Romero CB Udogie
Bissouma Skipp Bentancur
Maddison Richarlison Son

4231

GK
Porro Romero CB Udogie
Bissouma Skipp
Kulusevski Maddison Son
Richarlison
Jesus wept, those lines ups!

That’s why I said a player like Brandt not him specifically.

I can’t really think of an Eriksen type available that’s suited to a 3 in cm.

McAllister maybe.
Lo Celso does it
Gil could do it imo

Maddison is better further forward

Emerson / Porro / Spence
Sess / Perisic / Udogie / Reguillon

Romero / Sanchez / Rodon
Dier / Lenglet / Davies / Tanganga

Skipp / Holjberg / Sarr / Bentencaur
Bissoma / Ndombele / Lo Celso / Winks / White

Kane / Son / Richy / Kulu / Danjuma / Gil

Fail to see how that squad cannot challenge across all comps. We need a coach who can play to these players strengths, not force them into playing a system that doesn't suit them.

WI'll any of our on loan players still have a role to play? Selling them has clearly been problematic.

I’ll tell you why we can’t compete with that squad.

Where does bravery/courage/true leadership/winning mentality come from in that squad of yours?

Quite one paced and gives the ball away far too much. Technically decent enough but not enough for us to spend a fortune on. I’ve seen him loads of times and he’s never controlled a game. Always on the edge of it.
bus-conductor bus-conductor Pretty much what he said.

Brandt is a talented guy, no doubt. Good pair of feet, can pass, score. But is he that good and influential? No. Is he Borussia's go-to guy when things get tough, the one picking them up? Nope.

For me he's clearly not in the top 5-10 players in the Bundesliga and, mainly, I don't see him as a leader, fighter, a guy with massive balls. But that's exactly what we sooooooo desperately need at Spurs: frigging dogs, guys with huge character, who hate losing...minus the stupid as eff shithousery a la Romero.

And for all his talent, Brandt ain't that type.

So you think a load of players that have failed on almost every level over the last 4 years will get us challenging on all fronts? That we should give failures like Sanchez a 7th season? Buy completely ordinary loans like Lenglet? Miraculously keep Sessegnon fit? Finally get Ndombele running and making Lo Celso bothered? From your squad list around 12 to 15 need to go, however unlikely that is.

Well, that highlights to failure of our club.

Why have these players not performed to their potential? Are they really awful players, or has the club failed in developing them? - i.e. What makes you think signing new players will have any other outcome?

Emerson has courage, perseverance and determination Dier can't even imagine having in his dreams.

What's wrong with Skippy?

As for anyone still wanting to give GLC yet another chance, it baffles me
Does GLC need another chance?

He didn’t leave because he wasn’t playing well, he left because he didn’t fit Conte’s idea for the CMs he wanted. Conte didn’t want a CAM, he wants 2 B2B and that’s not GLC

Well, you have to put it in context. Yes, they aren't top drawer players, but who many clubs have a squad of 23 top drawer players?

Ours doesn't look too bad compared to this dross.

Liverpool
Gomez, Matip, Tsimikas, Keita, Milne, Elliot, Gakpo, Nunez, Chamberlein

United
Jones, Van De Beak, Wan Bissaka, Dalot, Lindelof, Mengi, Shaw, Sancho, Martial, Weghorts

Woolwich
Holding, Tomiyasu, Elneny, White, Smith-Rowe, Nelson

Doesn't change the fact the guy ain't good nor committed enough. And I don't think he's been that missed on & off the pitch.

But each to their own idea, my man 😉
