It’s okay, this fanbase can convince themselves that Maguire + Tosin are the new Maldini & Baresi in double quick time 💪

With Danjuma and Lucas gone and other areas of the squad requiring more urgent attention I wonder if Gil will be in and around the squad for RW depth next season? Definitely one player you would think would benefit from a more front foot style of play.

I keep trying to tell you guys, Spurs is not Celtic. We don't play in a two team league and he doesn't have a lot of time to get things right. You have no idea of the amount of players we have with no future down here. Ndombele, GLC, Sanchez, Winks, to name but a few, games are coming thick and fast, if he spends time putting them in the team trying to improve them. He will get the chop quickly than you can say 2 points from 8 games.
He won't be able to change the whole squad, whererer you like it or not a fair few players you don't want will be staying and will get a chance to improve and some will leave. Everyone will start with a clean slate. It's not just about Celtic, it's Postecoglus way and he has done it at every club he's been at

That's a bit tallest pigmy in the village syndrome though, no? Have you got any actual metrics that back that up.

Let's definitely not buy their front line...

It's more a fast walk really.

Isn't that because Celtic mostly played in the oppo's half and we mostly played in ours? I'm being serious.
Postecoglu played the exact same in the Champions League as well. He will play the same way against Burnley as he will against Man City. He went all out attack with Australia at the world cup as well

Show me one person that discussed both Tosin and Maguire being good?

One person.

Here’s my guess, you don’t rate Tosin because you don’t really pay attention when you watch and hadn’t really noticed him before. For you, if the players coming in aren’t big names or expensive, you think it’s a shit signing.

Yeah obviously. People have actually convinced themselves that if we finish mid-table Levy will put faith in him.

It’s beyond delusion now. Levy got rid of our most successful coach ever for being mid-table for all of 5 minutes.

Ange is under immediate pressure to succeed and anything less than being in or around the top 6 will cost him his job.

Good luck to the bloke.

Tosin has good raw attributes from what I've seen. He is quite pacey and can pick a pass. Technically good and good in the air as well BUT he does make mistakes.

I've been saying we need to get rid of these mistake riddled players and his main weakness is lapses of concentration.

Saying all that, as I said previously he's a decent player that can potentially become very good. I'd take him IF we were also bringing in another more proven CB.
Every centre back makes mistakes. It’s just making sure we sign one that isn’t riddled with them on a regular basis. Tosin has all the attributes needed to be excellent but he tends to switch off at times. I’ve seen him quite a bit and his pace gets him out of trouble. When it doesn’t the mistakes are highlighted. Quite like him though and would be a good addition but we need a left side one first.

With no European football, how many attacking players will we sign and on which side?

Gil definitely interesting because he can maybe play LW, RWF, 8/10.

I’ve watched him plenty. He’s okay.

But I won’t be taking criticism on football based analysis from you, mr Brazil’s number 9.

I don’t care if a player is expensive or not. Richarlison is 60 mill and he’s the dictionary definition of decent work horse forward. Like a budget version of Vardy without any of the ability to finish chances.

Doc and Lucas going for nothing and loan fees for Danjuma and Lenglet means we have wiped our mouth of £43m so far this year.

Maybe. They will try and milk the price like Brentford and Leicester are doing for Raya and Maddison though.

Get rid of Dier, bring Aderabiayo in.

Then sell Sanchez and Rodon and bring in a top left sided centre back. And that's our centre back options greatly improved.

Dier 5.2% defensive duels won, how is that even possible? You'd think a defender could win more than that just by standing still.

If true, that is abysmal.

Do we really have to buy a left footed CB to play LCB?

Are there no top quality, right footed CBs that play LCB in a 4?

Let’s not forget your masterful use of XG and XA, an advanced analytics metric that you have zero understanding of past the marketing blurb.

Like it or not mate you are a punter like the rest of us. Even if you believe you are a master analyst
