What does that mean tho?

He's mates with a few agents?

Or he's an agent or works for an agency himself?

I'd imagine the info that any agent released to anyone not in their agency, would be for a very specific reason, right?

It wouldn't surprise me if some agents meet with mates (including those working for other Agents) for a few beers and a few indiscrete pieces of information get discussed - probably not more than which clubs are interested in which players rather than more detailed conversations ........ but who knows ?

If I was an agent and wanted to stir up interest in a player to earn some money, I'd leak stories about interest and deals.

Likewise, if I had a relationship with a client that I didn't want to damage, I'd keep schtum.

Not sure how that would fit the Maddison story being leaked and Base also having a great relationship with Spurs...

I guess we don't really know how great that relationship really is.

I used to like the idea of Barnes as a squad depth piece.

Absolutely not the level to replace Son.

Problem is, we aren't in Europe so don't need squad depth, we need to get a player that can push and even replace Son.

Doubt Levy has the appetite to and spend on that level of player this window tbh.
For the money it would cost to buy an attacking player at the level of Sonny we could get a really top quality centre back, and that would do a lot more to improve the team.

Go on, what was the username. Let's see what you got binned for.
I got banned by asking why their ITKs never are correct.

Not sure if this has been posted before

30m euros (circa £24m) payable over 6 years for the 23 year old is a steal - reflects his last season which was less good than his first 6 months which was amazing.

Every chance of an upside in value

I like Kulu but we have not had much value (so far) from big money transfers:

A report in Spain claims Tottenham have now made an offer for Harry Maguire as Manchester United seek an exit route for the defender.

The 30-year-old is almost certain to leave Old Trafford this summer after falling down the pecking order under Erik ten Hag. Despite still being a regular for England, the centre-back started only eight top-flight games for the Red Devils last term. He made 16 league appearances in total and played 31 times in all competitions.

Having enjoyed 102 Premier League outings across the previous three seasons, Maguire’s fall from grace has been spectacular.

Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane are the Dutchman’s preferred partnership. And even left-back Luke Shaw has been preferred to Maguire on occasions.

It all points to a summer exit from the Theatre of Dreams. Both Newcastle United and Tottenham have been linked.

But it is the latter who seem to be further along in their efforts to secure a deal.

Ex-Liverpool star Stam Collymore urged the Sheffield-born star not to move to north London, suggesting Aston Villa would be a better destination.

However, according to Spanish publication Fichajes, Spurs have now tabled a bid for the experienced stopper.

There is no mention of the price they are willing to pay. United forked out £80m for the rangy centre-half but are unlikely to receive anywhere near that amount.
Southgate has stuck by him and I am not against signing a CB with great passing ability and EPL proven.

It means absolutely fuck all. Trix knows fuck all. About 10 years ago his cousin’s uncle’s best friend happened to be on a fishing day trip with the friend’s friend of a football agent , and he’s been spouting stuff you can read all over the internet ever since and claiming it’s ITK.

How fucking ITK do you have to be to know that Spurs are close to Maddison’s agents (Base - been all over the media) and “we are definitely in the running”?

Ffs.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Pedro Porro is the subject of interest from Barcelona. The Spanish international will join Tottenham permanently in a deal worth €45 million this summer. But the newly-crowned La Liga champions want to prise him away from the North London club.

Pedro Porro has been one of the best young full-backs in the world in the last few seasons. The 23-year-old rose to prominence at Girona FC before moving to Manchester City in August 2019. But he never established a foothold at Manchester City and instead spent three years on loan at Real Valladolid (2019/20) and Sporting CP (2020-2022).

Sporting signed him permanently last summer before Tottenham came calling in January 2023. And the Spaniard has managed three goals and three assists in 17 appearances. Meanwhile, Tottenham will sign Porro permanently in a deal worth €45 million this summer. But Barcelona will look to secure his services ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Barcelona will enter the market for a right-back this summer. And it is hardly surprising why they are desperate to land a top-class full-back for the right flank. They have failed to fill Dani Alves’s void since the Brazilian defender’s first stint at Camp Nou ended. Since then, Nelson Semedo, Sergi Roberto, and Sergino Dest have all tried and failed to fill his shoes.

Meanwhile, Xavi Hernandez utilised Jules Kounde, a centre-back, on the right flank for most of the 2022/23 season. While the Frenchman was a solid customer as a right-back, he wants to play as a central defender next term. So Barcelona will look to sign a right-back this summer, with Pedro Porro emerging as a target.

Apart from the Tottenham defender, Ivan Fresneda recently emerged as a target for Barcelona. But Porro might make an instant impact, considering he is more settled as a senior footballer. And the Blaugrana will soon launch the offensive to sign the 23-year-old.

It is unclear if Tottenham will be ready to part ways with Porro immediately after signing him for €45 million. But if a deal for the Spanish international does not materialise, Fresneda might accept a move to Barcelona in a heartbeat.
Not been impressed by Porro. Our defence has got worse since he signed.

I'd like to see Gil rotated with Son next season, it seems like Son's best days are over, he's no longer undroppable.

Son is 31, his best days are definitely behind him. Gil is nothing like Son, we do need to find someone who can provide 10-15 goals at least from that position as well as being able to supply some assists too. Gil ain't that player

It's too soon to say I think. Only 9 of those are still at the club if you assume Ndombele, Lo Celso and Reguilon are out of the reckoning. 6 of those 9 are 25 or under, and Bissouma and Richarlison are 26. This group can stay together for at least another 4 years.
