Agreed. Luka had also played a lot of men's football in Croatia, including lower league loans where he had to learn to use his body to protect the ball & avoid getting kicked too often.

Gil does have the mentality to receive the ball in tight situations, but he's not got that combination of a strong physical base and, crucially, guile to consistently keep possession & move the play on to a teammate.

He was sent out on a season long loan to HŠK Zrinjski Mostar in Bosnia with the sole purpose to toughen him up. And it certainly worked out very well for him.

If he is ready to go without being paid a penny that should be only reason to be prepared to let him go on a free transfer. I'm aware that he is on big money but it's matter of principle. He's on a shit load, if we can walk away from a contract like that for a bit part player we will imo. Those other players will have teams who will offer comparable wages or longer contracts (while paying a fee). That's unlikely for perisic. I am hoping he walks for nothing

So Tottenham have a player with 1 year on contract and can choose whether they will spend 11m on a player they will not use, or whether they will save some money if they let him go. Simple as that.

It is not up to Spurs to feel sorry for Hajduk and Perišić.

Ivan's salary in a bigger scheme is irrelevant, it's on Spurs management to wory about their financial interest. Hajduk and Perišić have nothing to do with that and is not their business.

If it's Spurs interes to let player go, it's only on Tottenham Hotspur club to decide at what terms he should leave not Ivan and specially not on Hajduk.

And for the end i have told you to go home on Hajduk's forum or to fuck off. As for the donkey, all fans from other clubs in Croatia call Hajduk 's fans donkey, so I don't find it a big deal if I call you that way on Spurs forum.
