31 players are on the plane to Oz. Very disappointing that at least one new centre back is not among them. Instead Sanchez, Dier, Tanganga , Rondon, Regulion, Davies, Perisic, Lo Celso and Ndombele are all there

In any practical sense we are owned by ENIC......

I'd love for this to be like the Bundesliga, but it isn't.......
Yeah, that's the frustrating thing with some people. Lewis and Levy could wake up tomorrow, buyout all the existing contracts, relinquish Tottenham Hotspur Football Club's FA registration, call in builders and turn the stadium into flats and there's fuck all anyone could do about it.

In every sense of the word and legality, they own a complete and sole controlling interest the club. The extent to which they are "custodians" is self defined by ENIC.

Some is true but the stadium to flats isn't a thing without council buy-in. If they did what you say they are sitting on expensive playing fields /same with training ground.

If we then go to the fact tottenham is maximising value as a club fans are a key part of keeping that value.

If they are willing to blow it up they are in charge... They are not.

If they told the council they were winding up the club and the council could have a shuttered former football ground going derelict, or shiny new flats, the council would approve the flats. It's a matter of permitting, like any other real estate. The council cannot prevent them from winding up THFC - no one on Earth can, it's their property.

That doesn't mean that there are not other stakeholders in the club. The supporters are stakeholders, as is Tottenham, AIA, Nike, and others. All people who have an interest in seeing THFC succeed. But stakeholder ≠ ownership, and that's a reality some have a hard time understanding.

No, without the supporters THFC is not a profitable venture. But that doesn't mean ENIC have to appease supporters. Particularly as the supporters continue to show that, despite continual grumbling, they have no real appetite for turning their backs and closing their wallet to the club.

The only way supporters can realistically influence ownership to change direction is by withholding their money and the clubs' ability to monetize them through other means (commercial sponsorships). Stop not only attending matches, but watching them full stop. Stop clicking on articles related to Spurs which boosts metrics used to show the value of Spurs as a commercial partner. Stop buying merchandise, even bootleg merchandise. Basically, give up the club.

Not many people will do this though, because supporters of all stripe are the only loyal stakeholders in football. Ownership groups know this, which is why supporters are pilfered. Because we'll allow it and come back for more. Addicts.

Nope, no chance. It took about 20 years and a threat of Stratford for the current development. If they were all council flats maybe otherwise they say swivel. They can wind up tottenham and sit on playing fields.

You know for a team that hasn't won the league for over 60 years, it's always funny to me the lengths at which some of you will go to downplay and discredit other clubs achievements.

As good as an analysis as I have seen.
ENIC’s talk of being a custodian is basically lip service.

🤣🤣🤣 As someone that lives 5 minutes walk from the ground there is no way in hell that could happen...the ground and football club are deeply routed in the area and the area is very much attached to the football club

Agreed
This is why I find most of the Levy arguments — should card myself for going off-topic here —- tedious.
No great business man purposely self sabotages a multi billion dollar asset that he has built out of something that was a hundredth of the value.
And certainly not for the want of a million or two.
A good tottenham is more value (by multiples) than a bad. It's why he is spending money the problem is its been poorly spent
