Perhaps he doesn't fit what Poch needs but does what Ange

Lo Celso played well for 45 mins and there could be a squad place for him if he wants it but given his Lamela-esque injury record we should be snapping Napoli’s hand off if they offer close to what we want. Lo Celso doesn’t do niggles, he misses months on end.

Likewise with Ndombele, very talented but during his time with Spurs and Napoli he consistently fails to last more than 2/3 of a game. He has a knack of breaking himself… given his excessive wages he’s another we should be moving on one way or another.

I like Bissouma and Sarr as a young understudy. Skipp’s ok as a squad player but not as a regular starter in Bentancur’s absence. Two players we’ve both been linked with, Gallagher or Lavia would add depth in the energy/pressing department until RB returns.

This is a forum where we discuss potential targets right? as in targets that have been linked in the media?

Oh pls....... You know the point I'm making!

I didn't say don't talk about it; but you said "Chelsea are willing to sell? where are you getting this?."...

Nor did I say that they aren't.

...But if you're of the opinion they're not prepared to sell, then it's damn short discussion.

Curious.... That's all... Like everyone else here you seem to have an opinion on most things when you want to? .......Why so coy?

You already spun the question back on me previously and I answered.

I’ve never seen VDV play but if the club are really keen then fair enough.

I’m not actually sure what top CBs look like now. Van Dijk was the best of the best but his legs have gone. Gvardiol is good but a bit overrated IMO. Rudiger has to be up there but if you asked me the best CBs in the prem, I’m not sure what I’d say.

consistently good performance when given a run of games in this league.

chelsea are willing to sell? where are you getting this?
you watched him for chelsea? everytime ive seen him he looks out of his depth. know a few <removed>s that want rid of him ASAP due to him not being good enough. the palace fans i know want him back but admit hes not good enough for level above. hes a bottom half of the table dog imo, he prob would of been ok in a conte system that requires dogs in the middle. not a system that requires clean crisp passing and front foot football...that requires the best of the best.

Did anyone look good in that Lampard Chelsea team?

Likewise; hence the question(s)......

We need 2 "top" CBs is the recurring mantra (as it was your comment 1 or 2 posts ago).

(And like I said previously; to me Tap & VDV still have their own element of risk/inexperience... And I don't personally see them as "top".... Yet.)

Also wondering if anyone has any ideas from the further leftfield cos we're obviously not gonna be plucking players out of RM, PSG and City's first XIs.

(There's no 'booby-trap' to this..... Just attempted dialogue with a vocal someone who's opinion interests me.....)

He is a human being mate - why the fuck do you keep calling him a dog?

I'm the one who thinks that Ange as a new coach (a real Coach) wanted to try players, before releasing them and changing them spetialy in the defense, and wanted to see how they play react in a new attacking football. I'm sure he would like to chose the tipe of defender that suits the best our midfield, and diminish weakness of players in midfield and on fullbacks or wingbacks.

We could be surprised with the choice. All I can see is that we are trying to assemble footballing team with talented and hard working players with freedom to express themselves and also obligated to help the defense

I watched him for Chelsea and Palace. The lad is a gifted footballer and has a great footballing brain on him. He can shoot, cross, work the ball out of a tight space, tackle, hold the ball up and actually pass pretty crisply. If you were just watching him in a piss-poor Chelsea team then I don't think it is fair to judge.

i watched him for both. he looked good at palace, but then most dogs in midfield would because the rest of them are poor players and a lot of laziness and braindead shit. chelsea he stepped up to play with better players and looked like he was out of his depth imo. know a few <removed>s who think the same. 50m for gallagher would be a disgrace and a complete waste of good money. 50m should get you real quality, not just someone who works hard. we paid 40m for maddison ffs whos leagues above someone like gallagher.

Because I have no idea about what you're on about could you explain what a dog in midfield is? Like give an example of another such type of player?
