I don’t disagree with you at all, just putting out an alternative theory.
If we sell Kane, I do think we stick with Richy/Son and go for another Maddison type of player.

Yep can see another goal scoring centre mid being brought in.If we sell Kane, I do think we stick with Richy/Son and go for another Maddison type of player.
We have a striker we paid £60m for. City paid less money for Haaland. Is Richarlison worth more than Haaland?
I think the goals will come from Richarlison if he gets a proper run in the team but there is no getting away from the fact that we paid over the odds for him. He's a player who might do all right for us for a while in the tradition of Chris Armstrong and Darren Bent. All we can do is get behind him and hope for the best.
That's his best role and where he typically always features for Brazil. He can play on the left and did that fairly often at Everton, but he's best as a striker right in front of goal.
He's also been the striker when Kane has been injured and done fine.He wasn’t playing as a LW when he won the golden boot though, he was playing off Kane, and becoming the striker when Kane dropped deep. He hasn’t really been a winger for years.
There is certainly an advantage to him doing that. It would be categorically his team instead of the remnants of the Pochettino era and he will either sink or swim on his vision.Ange is the only positive here in that he has a track record of moving on senior players and rebuilding.
Kind of how it was suggested before Ange arrived. I'm guessing his 3 days at Hotspur Way before flying out probably weren't long enough.Feels like we are Probably just going to evaluate the squad right now and only make more first team signings once we know who is definitely not onboard and who isn't good enough when we get back to London. Only then will we push to make more signings .
Perhaps it just goes to show you shouldn't always believe what you read online. It’s mental how all the talk of our new DOF has just died a death all of a sudden.
Despite the fact that we were supposedly hell bend on appointing a DOF before our managerial appointment initially…
Haven’t seen anything to suggest he doesn’t want one in fairness.Seems that Ange doesn’t want one.
Which is fine if it works out.
If it doesn’t the rebuild starts again for the next manager.

All good points. Just don't want another season of dierI agree but it’s difficult getting 2 and getting them to fight to the death for one spot. I would take one top quality CB this window and then look to add further later down the line. I still think Romero and Tapsoba as first choice and Dier and Lenglet as second choice would be adequate for now, then next summer look to upgrade on Dier and or hope Phillips/Dorrington is ready to come step up.
We should be getting in 2 defenders regardless of the Kane situation and I’d be surprised if we didn’tIf we sold Kane. It'd be pointless signing a striker when we could probably do with two centre backs and a wide player.
It's all about priorities, mateyYou really do have to worry when you see Villa making significant signings without selling first and then you see us still not signing a CB with 3 weeks to go until the start of the season.
Anything less than £42m and we've made a loss on him, and that's not even considering wages...Anything above €7.9m and we show a profit on him (£42m purchase price in Aug 2017 - amortised over 6yrs = he stands us in at £7m on our books).
He’s actually 30A point about Sonny: he's 31. We may want to think about moving him to a more central position regardless of what's happening with Kane. It's pretty unusual to have guys in their 30s running up and down flanks.
