That lineup includes:

- Two wing-backs who have exclusively played in 5 at the back setups. They are young. One we know is defensively questionable already.

- A very young goalkeeper who we really know very little about.

- A CM (GLC) with a horrific injury record, proven to be disappointing in English football thus far.

- A Son Heung Min coming off by far his worst ever season who is 31 and pace reliant.

- A player we in all probability will not sign.

- A player who scored all our goals last season who wants out. Our only top class footballer.

On the positive side Bissouma I expect to be fantastic as he is genuinely great, Maddison is a lovely little pick-up, we probably will sign a partner for Romero who I still do think is good when he's not being an idiot & Bentancur is a solid, reliable CM when fit.

The lineup has so many question marks in it that it's actually scary.
Not as many question marks from my perspective.

GK - can't be worse than last season's Hugo.
Udogie - will thrive in Ange's system
Royal - solid solid defender
Romero - one of the best CBs in the league on his day. I trust Ange to cut down his rashness
LCB - big hole
DM - Biss should boss it there
CM - Maddison and Benta. Nuff said
LW - Sonny should have a couple more good seasons in him. If not, Solomon looks pretty good.
RW - Kulu needs to pick it up; Porro to provide competition
CF - Richie is a prototypical Ange CF. He may not get 30 goals, but 15 are definitely in his locker and other positions will contribute much more than they did under Conte.

So, although LCB is a glaring hole, the remaining positions will require near world class players to be improved upon. And I didn't even include Kane.

Am I being a happy clapper? Maybe a bit more optimistic than some, but you tell me if this lineup, which will require very little rotation thanks to no Europe, is not good enough for top 6 with a decent LCB signing.

The problem with Sonny at LW is that we've seen him play in that position last season (i.e. wide and far from goal, expected to carry the ball) and it's not been good. We may need to move him to CF.

Bit of movement here with Tosin. Not unexpected considering Fulham’s business.

As we’ve long suspected - it’s Tosin plus VDV or Tapsoba

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in bringing Franck Kessie to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Rudy Galetti has reported on Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur have identified Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

We were linked long before those two were being linked with Fulham though.
yes I'm aware of that but we've had to wait until they agreed deals for two centre backs to even make a bid and this I presume is for our 2nd CB target.

If Toisn is the main CB without either VDV or Tapsoba (or Tosin and Lenglet) then its a case of Levy going for the cheaper option as usual).

That being said, I quite like Tosin and he's good in the air as well which we definitely need (also HG). We need him with another CB though.
