who would be your top target to replace Kane (within reason, i.e. someone reasonably gettable and not worth 80m+, i.e. not Mbappe or Julian Alvarez etc)

I don't think we can replace Kane like for like, especially not reasonably gettable (Osimhen etc) I'd be more tempted to stick Richarlison up top for the season, and spend the money on better wide forwards/creatives.

I'd spend the money on a couple of players like Mitoma, Olise, Barcola, Cherki and really give us some attacking options.

Had you ever heard of Cherki before Monday?

Seriously how far off of challenging could this squad based on its talent be:

Vicario
Forster

Porro
Royal
Spence

Romero
Tapsoba
Van De Ven
Tosin

Udogie
Perisic
Sessegnon

Bentancur
Bissouma
Sarr
Skipp
Lo Celso
Ndombele
Maddison

Kulusevski
Solomon
Son
Richarlison
Kane

We are 3CBs away from being able to have this kind of squad. The painful rebuild isn't far away from possibly having its core and foundations set

U21 players with most goals+assists in Europe's top seven leagues 2022/23

27 - Xavi Simons (PSV)
25 - Bukayo Saka (Woolwich)
24 - Elye Wahi (Montpellier)
23 - Folarin Balogun (Reims)
22 - Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich)
20 - Gabriel Martinelli (Woolwich)

The original source is from about 50 km of Montpelier:

I don’t know, it still feels like a classic diversion tactic from Montpellier trying to get Chelsea (the club with long-standing interest) to pay up.

One positive though - if there is a time to buy a striker this summer, it is now. Because if Kane does go as most expect him to, once that cheque from Bayern clears, suddenly the price on every transfer target will go up an extra £20m. You don’t want to leave all your business until after you get the influx of cash.
