Lukeba is a very unique profile. He’s more LCB in a back 3 than a back 4 partner to Romero but he’s brilliant on the ball, an incredible tackler, legitimately amazing quickness and acceleration. He’s not a big aerial presence, almost like a wiry inverted fullback, but man he looks special. Much more special than Van de Ven.

Hancko I found when I was scouting Slot’s Feyenoord. He just does the right thing every time. lefty, great passer, good tackler, the issue is that he isn’t very strong aerially. But again if we’re ready to go for Van de Ven, this guy fits his profile just as well and even better in some ways. Cheaper too.

Way out of left field but a few people I listen to on football have mentioned this guy Strahinja Pavlovic from Salzburg. Maybe too early for him but he’s a beast and unlike Van de Ven is actually dominant aerially.

That’s 3 left footed CBs who are realistic targets and all capable of playing athletic recovery defense in a high line.
Hancko looks very impressive looking at his stats.

Now is a good time for people to display some empathy. You are Tapsoba’s agent and you’re only looking out for his interests.

Who here would advise him to push for a move to Tottenham?

Is any of this a surprise to anyone?

Like I've been saying, I genuinely don't think we are really even attempting to sign any decent CB.

People need to wake up and actually accept we(fanbase) are being made to look like utter mugs and are being strung along.

But this guy was one that everyone was counting on signing for us. No matter what combinations, worst case scenario was Tosin and Lenglet, then next best Tosin and VdV, and then one to make many happy was Tapsoba and Tosin

Tosin was the certainty

The saga involving Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele goes on, and the Italian media has some new information to share today.

Radio Kiss Kiss, relayed by Area Napoli, claims that the Serie A side were ‘disappointed’ with the loan spell he had at the club last year.

It’s claimed that Napoli saw big potential in Ndombele, believing they were betting on his future when signing him from Tottenham on a loan with an option to buy.
Following his time at the club, the Italian side were not only let down by his performances, but also by his attitude. It’s said the midfielder never came across as ‘a leader’.
That’s why Napoli decided not to sign him from Tottenham. They not only rejected the possibility of using the buying option, but also gave up on even negotiating a new fee for a permanent move.

Following the loan spell, Ndombele is back in Spurs’s squad, where he has a contract running until 2025.

His market value has recently dropped to €22m, according to Transfermarkt, and it’s getting harder to see the cub getting a good sale with him.
He’s your winners medal now fuck off you ungrateful obnoxious prick

No suprise he would start their

So, VDV and Tosin off
VDV and Tapsoba is too expensive
VDV and Lenglet are both left-footed so it's only 1.

VDV deal has apparently collapsed.

which leaves Lenglet. Who by pure coincidence might be available on a free when Barca cut their losses.

Levy probably uses the Barca trip to negotiate the deal, Lenglet comes on on deadline day.

What are you melts complaining about?

Now. I’m not DL great defender (no pun intended) So if he fails with tapsoba. Then he’ll be culpable in my opinion

But so far on that list only skrinikar is the one I’ll agree

Unless you know of reasons why we can surplant man city

The 'funny' thing is that when we briefly gazed in Gvardiol's direction he was injured at the time and RBL still wanted 85m quid for him as 20 y/o with one good season under his belt...... No club in their right mind makes that deal..... The Chavs reportedly backed off for the same reason at the end of last summer too (even though Boehly was splashing the cash like a drunk in a strip bar).

Since then another good season; shines at the world cup and City knocked (having quite likely already been on their radar too). Game over.

Sometimes links aren't worth givng a second thought; let along being given enough gravitas to become part of a a wider point/theory/conclusion.

Do you work for sports-witness?

They make every single article up but you keep them coming.

Thanks 👍👍

Not seen much of them at all tbh, time to do some youtube scouting

I think it would be astonishingly smart play

Go get a big fat premier league contract

And on your first day you’ll look like the best center back in the world compared to the current load of shit they’ve got

We’ll be rich I tell ya !!

Fuck, Lenglet might actually be happening then.

And Harry Maguire
Happy Man Utd GIF by Manchester United

Plenty wanted to slag off Fabio Paratici but had forgotten what it was like watching Levy wait until deadline day to try and get important positions for less.

Also forgot how inevitably the new Van der Vaart never happened every year.

Romano said we're still working on Tapsoba

The more I reflect on it the more the Tosin thing pisses me off. Not because I think he’s a world beater but because of how arrogant and shameless we are doing transfers.

It’s either a) we don’t rate Tosin, which is dumb, because he’s £15m, homegrown, a proven PL player with pace, real aerial gifts, and ability to play in a high line, and at the very least, he can come in and do a much better job than anyone but Romero. Or b) were fucking around with Tosin because we can’t shift deadwood and we’re totally hamstrung by the court case, the Kane situation, all the change at the moment, so we’ve put all our competence into other areas.

Either way that’s a signing we need to be making. smacks of arrogance and incompetence.
