The start of the season probably doesn't even come into the equation for Levy.

Deadline day is what he works towards.

If we lose a few points either side of that it doesn't matter that much because he doesn't expect us to get relegated or challenge for anything in the league.

As long as the stadium is full, anything above that is a bonus.

They have their cash cow with the stadium and various connected ventures. Football is clearly an extremely low priority for them.

I can see us throwing in big(ish) bids for Muani and Tapsoba that’ll be the clearest indication we’ve agreed to sell Kane.

Levy ‘making it difficult for Bayern’ only serves to make it difficult for us too. If they hit £80M+ sell

He was really good in the 2nd half vs the Sailors. He made several passes between the lines that played our guys into space.

Could a midfield 3 of Maddison (who also played some lovely outside the boot passes to Son) Lo Celso and Bissouma work? I think so. Hope we get to see it in preseason at least

I’m looking forward immensely to our attacking play but we defo need another CB or 2

Even if we do get 2 new CB's only 1 is going to start alongside Romero and my personal view is that will only improve our goal against so much. There are other circumstances that led to us being peppered with nearly 400 shots against last season and conceding 63.

Yeah,

It's pretty much a case of "our defence is shite, let's stop the opposition having as much of the ball as previous managers have. That way they'll have less chances"

This bit I get 1 million per cent.

It's my biggest fear (hyperbole) that we'll get Saudi/Qatar owners.

I boycotted the World Cup, but I can't boycott Spurs, and that would make me a hypocrite.

I maybe many, many things but I do try not to be a hypocrite.
