Sissoko’s first season was godawful, his performance in the 0-1 defeat to Leverkusen was one of the worst I have ever seen at this level.

Thankfully Poch quickly realised that he could not play as an attacking midfielder and turned him into a bulldozer CM as backup to Dembele. He was generally adequate in this role until his limitations could no longer be masked by Eriksen and Dele.

He was signed as our Mane alternative and by that measure he completely flopped, but as a makeshift CM he did well. He was a regular player in our top 4 teams.

More than adequate in my opinion. He exceeded all expectations of him that season in spite of the pathetic way our fans treated him in his first.

What if Ange loves the squad he has inherited :ange-hands-head:
would be music to Levy's ears,
fortunately with peri, sanchez , hojberg, and hugo wanting to leave. Plus Spence, and Rodon not even getting a look then it's safe to assume Levy is going to have to write some more cheques before september even though it pains him so.

Every single penny that comes into the club goes back into the team indeed :levystare:

Sissoko played a HUGE part in our getting to the CL final and top 4 in 19/20.

Garbage 85% of the time is pure fiction. The way he was treated by our supporters in his first season for us was embarrassing and each one of them should be thankful he is a model professional and was committed to proving them all wrong.
People seem to forget the huge amount of work Sissoko got through having to cover for Aurier at RB. In my opinion he worked his backside off for the cause. No he wasn't a 30 million pound player but that's not his fault that the idiots in charge decided to pay that amount

Links with Kessie, bargain buy and a very good player.Trouble is we’d lose him, Bissouma and Papa Mata Sarr to A.C.O.N in Jan and Feb next year with Son off to the Asian games in March next year.

Pretty sure this myth has been expelled numerous times as the PL is having a winter hiatus this season during the time the ACON is on. We would only miss them for more than a couple of games if they both got to the final

Sure, was fun football to watch but one of the greatest missed opportunities ever to have a squad like that fall on your lap and completely fail the club by not capitalising

(Potential) enjoyment is why I paid my money.

Newcastle, Leeds, Arse last season... Just a number of clubs that no doubt rue missed opportunity.... I doubt they'll be so single-mindedly down on the whole experience though.
