It's both unreasonable and a silly question.

Am i going to criticise his performance if he drops a clanger and has a poor performance = yes

Am i going to criticise if he performs poorly for a sustained period = yes

asking people on a football forum if they're gonna "shit on" a player if he doesn't play well? does critcising constitute as shitting on?

dumb question that's made even worse by the internet gangsterism added to it.
Can any reasonable poster explain to me where exactly in that does it...

"confirming you’ll be looking for any excuse to criticise our new GK just because we didn’t sign Raya."

I swear this place sometimes.

Reading between the lines he's saying I either want this move to Bayern or I'm staying here for the season and leaving on a free, and I'll say something to placate the fans like "Yeah if we progress I'll stay" when really its obvious I'm giving Levy an ultimatum and there's no way we progress enough to meet my ambition of Spurs winning CL/league titles.

confirmation bias
noun

  1. the tendency to interpret new evidence as confirmation of one's existing beliefs or theories.

Yep, that applies as much to the person I replied to as my comment .. but I noticed you didn't pull that one up, maybe a bit of your own confirmation bias coming in? We can all try and be clever ... successfully or unsuccessfully.

And my interpretation is based on his behaviour going back to the Neville interview. My stance hasn't shifted and I've been right all along the way. You're free to believe in false hope, but I think both myself & the majority of fans now can see through it.

(Fancy a wager? Money where mouth is and all that?)

Absolutely, I hadn't actually read the poster's comment you were replying to but for sure the post from Ionman34 Ionman34 is biased toward his general feelings. We all find it hard to read between the lines fairly.

My take is that means if Kane stays and if we get off to a flying start and Levy shows some more ambition in the market, he will negotiate an extension - basically reading the exact lines and taking it for face value.

Ill take the wager for sure - the loser doesn't post on here for 2 weeks (I don't ever bet money for a number of reasons)

What's the terms?

I actually saw this as wonderful news, if true that is.

Reading between the lines, Kane is essentially saying back the manager, let me see you setting him up to succeed rather than fail, and I'll commit to the contract you've put in front of me.

I get the feeling that he's impressed with the way AP is getting us to play and would like to be a part of it. He's got to be looking at the amount of chances we're creating and thinking that he could fill his boots this coming season.
So many chances ….against West Ham and some little, little team. Not a true endorsement

In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.
And that you will be on Vicario's case all season and Blakey the same with Solomon.
Vicario has played 90 minutes with a new team in friendly games.
No reasonable poster could have formed an opinion about his ability.

If Kane leaves for Bayern Munich or leaves on a free at the end of this season, you don't post for two weeks.

If Kane does sign an extension to his contract, I will not post for two weeks.

I'd say easy money but erm ... it's just a forum break on the line.

OK but I made a typo in my other post, which I corrected - I actually don't think Kane will stay, but IF he does I think he will sign an extension.

Problem for Levy and his style of negotiation is that any CB signing looks like he's already agreed to sell Kane or needs the Kane money to pay for it.

All he needed to do was get one of them done before the tour like his new manager asked.
