So it would be better if he didn’t listen to the football people at the club who wanted to make a big signing…

I was half joking.......Porro was a weird one though because by the time he signed it was clear Conte wasn't commited to signing a new contract to stay at Spurs, still living in a hotel, family still in Italy, to then go and spend 40 mill on a wing back perfect for Conteball was a big risk unless the club felt that the next manager would also play with attacking wingbacks.

Now we have Ange and we are left with a 40 mill wingback who doesn't fit with the new managers tactics.

Tuttomercatoweb, on Thursday morning, provided a few more tasty nuggets of information. Van de Ven has reportedly agreed a six-year deal until the summer of 2029. Meanwhile, Wolfsburg’s arm has been twisted by a new and improved offer from North London; Tottenham offering to pay up to £38 million for the Dutch U21 international, with bonuses included

Rooney instead of Kane in any final, for club or ciubtry and we/Rngland win at least two. The mentality of a pure wimner makes a huge difference.

England have better all round players and for 2/3 years we just needed our striker to do what top top players do.

No bitterness at all. Reality.

You keep genufkecting at Kane's feet and if we ever face him try not to feel too conflicted.
Have to disagree. If Rooney was such a winner how come England didn't reach any finals with that team. So much talent but not team focussed.

Barcelona’s Clément Lenglet was on loan at Tottenham Hotspur last season and the north London club have been trying to buy him this summer.

On Wednesday, Mundo Deportivo reported that everything suggested the defender would move to Spurs before Al-Nassr showed up to sign him. It was also stated they are willing to offer him a big salary.

Sport state the La Liga side are pushing the 28-year-old to move to Saudi Arabia after receiving an offer from Al-Nassr. However, he prefers to join Tottenham.

The Frenchman isn’t in favour of moving to the Middle East and ‘absolutely prioritises’ to return to the Premier League side. It’s said the centre-back has a ‘pre-agreement’ with Ange Postecoglou’s side for a three-year deal.
Barcelona are in a hurry to close the defender’s sale and are demanding €15m. Al-Nassr are willing to meet their request while Tottenham ‘don’t want to pay that amount’.

It’s claimed Spurs have made a ‘huge effort’ to take care of Lenglet’s salary and cannot pay €15m on top of that to buy him.

Spurs face Barca in the friendly tie next week and Sport suggest it’s possible a solution could be found then.

The report says Harry Kane’s potential sale to Bayern Munich is the ‘main problem’ for the English club and it has been ‘delaying all their market efforts’, including a deal for Lenglet.

The "bulk up" thing was a joke, It's a cliché that bugs me.

Look at this malnourished wastrel. Arms like knitting needles. Really needs to bulk up. Best we swerve...

yeah, some people just have fantastic balance, are fearless and can read the game well. The game is full of Skinny minis. Players get older, fill out and learn more about the game as they age, that's not really anything to do with bulking up.

Bale was lacking confidence, he was ok at Southampton, then he got signed as the next big thing and he had this huge weight on his back. The press then ran the line 'Spurs lose whenever Bale plays' and it hounded him.

Once he had his confidence and belief restored he was fine, not by having a third shredded wheat.

I imagine it was between Ndombele and Lo Celso.

Ndombele seemed to have the upper hand early on before getting his knock. And Lo Celso took his chance with both hands.

No issues with Ndombele leaving

If we had any faith in the scouring, we’d have no issue with both going.

Since Lo Celso has shown a little something on tour, you’d think he’d be at least a decent backup to Maddison.

With the Transfer machine back on, don’t think we can rule out anything.
