Spurs in advanced talks for Van de Ven

Tottenham are in advanced talks with Wolfsburg over the transfer of defender Micky van de Ven.
An initial fee of £34.5m (€40m) rising to a potential £43m (€50m), inclusive of add-ons, is on the verge of being agreed between the clubs.
Once the deal is finalised, he is expected to travel to the UK to undergo a medical.
The player is understood to be very keen on the move.

I'm fine with that.

We still need a pacy right sided attacker/forward if Kane leaves as well as another CB (even if he doesnt).

I believe the Brennan Johnson noise so think we will try and get that done before the Kane announcement is made.

Think most of us have come to terms with it.

Maybe they get that Schuurs guy at CB and as you say another forward.

If that's what Kane wants to do, let it flow. I hope he wins everything, unless it's against Spurs.

It feels a bit obvious to me. I know some people are kidding themselves that Harry’s staying now, but there’s been some ‘weird’ things going on in the last 48hours that suggests otherwise

Very likely.

Always assumed that when we started hearing "here we go" for defenders following the Kane meeting that it probably meant that some sort of agreement was close.

Really? What is so weird about signing a young Argentinian who may or may not be loaned back and centre back we have been promised for 3/4 Summers. Apart from overpaying for Van de Ven we are one of the highest income generating football clubs in the world we can afford this summers spend as long as we get the likes of Lloris, Ndombele and Perisic off our books. Hell getting those three off our books would mean we could raise Kane's base to 300-350K a week. Bayern will not offer what we want for Kane. So the only option is prove that he should stay.
