We are clearly trying to fund a relatively cheap but steady centerback. Think Tosin is the favourite but he wants assured game time. Shurs, Neilson, Bongourno, Bremer, Tosin, Itakura. I expect a left field one like Smalling or Tomori. None of them fill you with hope.
Tomori would be very expensive I reckon.

Schuurs looks like he’s going to be about €30-35m that’s probably the top end they want to pay for a 3rd choice CB.

Tosin probably cheaper but wants to be the main man starting.

"Tottenham will have to give in"

1. It's naive to turn down £100m now if (and if is the key here) Harry has said he won't renew. If he is sitting on the fence and has said if we start the season well he may sign then that's a gamble we may be willing to take. Big gamble though.
2. Why change a system Ange likes and has used successfully before for a single season to accommodate that one single player around whom this massive uncertainty lies? Say he does change it...Kane leaves in 12 months on a free and then we have to re-adapt to the other system?

I just don't like the uncertainty and it is a distraction. I thought Ange was a fresh start and it feels increasingly like it can't fully be.

Don't get me wrong I love Harry and agree he is a generational talent, but we are making ourselves the Harry Kane team when we more than likely won't have him in a year. Just feels wrong.
There are a stack of PL teams who would love Kane to transfer to Bayern!

No, but he's young enough that we could have to watch him in 3-5 parades. Watching him lift a single trophy for the chavs would be too much.
He's not going to Chelsea. People are obsessed with this.

Firstly, not gonna happen. Poch probably won't even be there. And even if he was, it ain't happening.
And secondly, well I don't need a second cos the first was so great!

€30m is fuck all really, is it?
I'll never understand this kind of attitude. As fans we should want our club to be healthy financially, not spunk money all over the place without a care in the world. I'm not saying for a minute that Gift would be a waste, nor that there haven't been times when we could have spent in order to improve to the next level etc, but to consider €30m to be 'fuck all really' is just insane.

All good willing to risk 100m+ and let Kane leave on a free thought of Levy decides that, yeah? No criticism of how that’s a bad financial choice if it happens?
