Yes, some are. Some people have been banging on about his name again and again insisting that he's a must buy for Spurs.
These are the top scorers in the Jupiler Pro League the last 3 seasons:

020–21 Paul Onuachu 33
2021–22 Deniz Undav 26
2022–23 Hugo Cuypers 24
« Banging on a out his name again » means wanting to sign him. That is difference from « putting all our hopes on » him.

The only one of our actual or potential signings i know is Maddison so this is NOT me. But I don’t think you’re fairly characterising what people want with Orban.

"He could have told Bayern it is way too late.......

If he had done that Levy would have had Spurs fans back on his side in an instant."

Meh..... Some are appalled by the idea of losing HK for nothing. Others would find an angle to be pissed at him regardless of outcome.

..........Who the fuck is Paul Newman, anyway?

I really implore the Spurs fans who were rejoicing and showering praise on Levy at the start of the week when then rejected bid news broke to finally, FINALLY begin to see reason.
The decisions this man makes are in no way, shape or form made with the best interests of Tottenham Hotspur at heart.
This transfer had to happen. For me there were only two options, he either signs a new contract, or goes to Bayern with our best wishes. I only hope we invest this money wisely....not holding my breath though.

If it's a choice between Harry going to Bayern today, or him staying for a season and then scoring a hat-trick against us in a Man Utd shirt the following season, I'll drive him to Munich myself!

Where do you get that from. We were never good enough to win that lge. we were never top of the lge in that season.
Woolwich were top for 8 months last season and they didn’t win it either.
written in the stars. Kane goes and we win the league cup.
it’s harder to win the lge cup than the bundesliga. Bayern just need to beat Dortmund, who usually blow it anyway. We have to get past 7 clubs who are all bigger and better than Dortmund.
Well, that's your opinion but the EPL was there for the taking when Spurs "lost" it to Leicester and yes, Spurs were good enough to have won the league if they've had 1-2 more quality players...

Our loss is englands gain. Easy season for Harry. 34 lge games max. No lge cup. Don’t care about their German cup. Month off at Xmas . Champ lge games. So nice and rested for the euros in Germany next summer.

They were all in their mid to late 20s, where as Orban is a 20 year old. Also compare their records in European competition.
Vincent Janssen turned 22 (1 year older than Gift) the year he become Eredivisie's top scorer (for AZ) with 27 goals in 34 games (2015-16).
I am not saying that Orban Gift isn't a talent and I am not against Spurs signing him but I am not getting into the hype that surrounds him (at least not yet).

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK . . . . . . . . . .

Probably already realiseing the backlash of it. It's like it was a game of poker and was he was go on I dare u and he's actually said okay. I got to agree with a previous post what we are getting really is not a lot of money for a player u can't replace in football terms. That is the standard rate. If we go out and get someone now it's going to 40 50 million.
