Extremely sobering scouting report on Orban.
That scouting report matches Jermain Defoe to me, maybe apart from the bit about not making blindside runs, which Defoe was good at.

The truth is, if he was scoring like he is, and was perfect in his all round game City or Chelsea or Dortmund would have snapped him up already.

It wouldn’t surprise me if we don’t get a “starter” Kane replacement.
For those front 3 spots we have Perisic, Son, Rich, Kulu, Solomon and Gil.
I would expect 1 if not 2 of those first 4 to have a significant improvement on their 22/23 performances based on what we know of those players’ capabilities.
Other than Gill (who lest we forget was one of europes most highly rated talents 2 years ago), the signs are that Ange is keen on them all.
We also have Veliz, Parrot, Scarlett as prospects wanting to get in.
And the possibility in an injury crisis of Maddison or Porro filling in on either wing.

So unless there’s a stand out forward available (would possibly argue Olise fits this bracket) then can see us only going for prospects such as this Orban.

It’s far from ideal BUT those options aren’t a huge cause for concern (compared to our back line).

Blimey, that's scathing!!!

This guy is wanking over everything about us at the moment

...yet on the other hand . ...

Surely he's the GIFT that keeps in giving!! (or has that one already been done?)

Tbh, I'd not seen or read much about him, purely 'cos I think was partly in denial, and avoiding thinking about whoever Kane's potential replacement would be ....

But seems we actually DO need one now!

These are the CF I'd be interested in, but apart from Osimhen I have doubts about the rest of them regarding settling into the EPL.
And, yes, I have doubts abut Osimhen, too - doubt that L & L would be willing to pay the fee, which would be close to €150m and whether he would come to Spurs.
Benjamin Šeško just joined RB Leipzig so that would cross him off the list, and Schick's already 27 (and turnning 28 this season) so I guess that would also cross him off the list.
Potential is one thing, but adjusting to life in the EPL or any other big league is another. Many will remember Luka Jović (Fiorentina), who Real Madrid paid €60m for back in 2019, thinking he'd be "the next big thing". Now he's struggling to score goals in Seri A (6 goals last season).

Patrik Schick (Leverkusen)
Adam Hložek (Leverkusen)
Benjamin Šeško (RB Leipzig)
Dušan Vlahović (Juventus)
Jonathan David (Lille)
Orban Gift (Gent)
Victor Osimhen (Napoli)

Rather give Richy or Son a run tbh. Seriously hope we don’t panic buy an 80M dud striker. Hold until Jan, c.20 games and see what unfolds. Ok with Orban for a reasonable fee

Prepare a deal for Toney - no value based drawn out negotiations, find the money and get it done

I really can’t see Levy bringing anyone else in, unless it’s a bargain he can’t resist (or he finally gets the deal he wants for Lenglet). We’ve got our starting 2 at CB and all signs are pointing to Son or Richy as our CF options, with Veliz the developmental punt. Think this is what Ange will have to work with until January, when some exits (hopefully) may mean Levy agreeing to some further acquisitions.

Let's ignore every report because of your gut feeling.

So you didn’t hear Ange talk about trying to get 2 or 3 more in?
